How do two people trade games

ok first off I know what trading means lol, but that's not my question. My question is how does one person trade games with another person in different states. I know that when you buy games the seller waits for payment before shipping, but in this case there is no money transaction. Is this deal all of trust of the other person. I have some games I need to trade but I can't find anyone locally. Thanks in advance for the help!

  • Dependent on the reputation typically the one with more feedback or a longer time of being here will wait to send the games until having recieved their trade.

So if we were to trade I would wait for you to send and receive your stuff and then I would send mine out. Most people will send at the same time if the other person had a good standing here though. In the end it's a lot of trust but I haven't been burnt yet and I have completed a lot of trades.
  • Like Foochie776 said, it's not so much "trust" as it is feedback. The numbers next to our names indicate how many trades/sales we have. You can click on our names to see our feedback just like on eBay. It's usually the same with sites like reddit on /r/retrogameswap, /r/gameswap, and /r/gamesale. Also how long a member has been around and active. You would have to send first usually until you built up some good feedback and trust. Just the way it is.
  • So would you guys not recomend doing trades over a Facebook site. Should I only trade on NA do to the fact of feedback and more likely not getting scammed?
  • At least if you do a trade on here, you have a record of the transaction. I don't think there is anything like that on FB.
  • Personally I'd try trading here as if by chance something went wrong it can be sorted easier than it would be on facebook. Plus if you check out our HoS (House of Shame) you can see how adamant people can be getting most things settled, and records are kept for violators.
  • Thanks everyone. Looks like I will stick to NA for trading!
  • Like others said, here you have a way to review all messages and stuff. Facebook doesn't have records like that but there are also groups with diligent admins that prevent people from being screwed like that. Personally id say this is a very safe place to trade.
  • I've traded here before a few times, it worked out really well. But I would have to say I was somewhat familiar with everyone I traded with. So in your case don't be surprised if the other party wants you to send your trade first nothing against your character, but your new and have very little feedback at this time. That's usually the way she goes until you become a more established member with a good reputation.
  • I traded with someone on here, they had no feedback and sent first. Over all it was as smooth a transaction as any other.
