Paypal sht the bed?

Went to make two payments this morning to some of our lovely members here on the board. The first payment went through without a hitch. I have a single card on file, single address on file, and I have been using this card and address only any time I have made a purhcase.

Now with the second member I went to make a payment to, I keep getting this stupid fucking "Sorry, you need a confirmed shipping address to send money. Go to profile to update your info." and every fucking thing in there is the same as it has been for quite some time now. Quite literally nothing has changed between the first payment and the second payment attempt. First payment went through without a hitch.

And no, Paypal's FAQ doesn't have a single answer remotely close to what I'm dealing with.

HALP.

  • It turns out changing a phone number you haven't had since 2008 will cause paypal to go fucking berserk. Just st on the line with tech support for half an hour for them to tell me they needed to escalate this up the chain because they didn't have the authority to verify my address, and that someone in IT land had to do all the updating. So, whatever, man. SURE CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS MONTH TO BE OVER. Because all of the bad stuff that happens in a month stays in said month. Right?
  • I have been having issues with payments as well... I have sent 2 now that showed a payment sent screen, but I never received an email or text confirmation. I called them and they said it went through, but the seller says they did not receive payment. I look at my bank balance and it was not taken out... super annoyed right now.
  • Wait, I'm having PP issues as well. I'm trying to pay through a website and the payment is never successful.
  • I have a BIG paypal problem. Every time I go to buy a bunch of stuff I don't really need but insist on owning to survive, I find that I not have any money
  • Had an issue a few moments ago where as I went to gift money to somebody and after entering the mail address, there was no submit / 'go' button. It literally disappeared as I started typing the email address. Hitting enter didn't work either. Had to restart the payment. Otherwise, got the email confirmation as expected.
  • Yeah man, it's best to keep everything exact. If one little thing's changed, whether it'd be a number or address/bank or otherwise, sending and receiving funds sometimes can be a hassle.
  • I sometimes have to put in the person's name that I'm sending money to which doesn't always work with how some screen names work

If I don't have these dust covers and manuals, I will die.
