Chicago area game stores?

Anyone know of any good retro game stores in Chicago area. Apparently I'm gonna be stayin in the "old town" area. I'll be there next weekend. Just looking for a place to check out

  • There was a thread about this already a few weeks ago... search the forum, since this thread had reviews... there is also the Retro stores list available with reviews. Sorry to sound mean, but my mobile is acting up! Otherwise I would have provided links!
  • I went to Chicago back in April. It's not a game store, but Headquarters Beercade is worth checking out. It's a sweet arcade bar with free, yes, free retro arcade machines you can play as a patron. Cool atmosphere, over 65 arcades and pinball machines, and beer. 
  • Stopped at people play games a few months ago- highly recommend it.

    It has the best selection in the city and is a store dedicated to ONLY video games. The prices are reasonable-ish too. Only spot worth checking out in my opinion. 
  • mostly commons but this place was pretty cool https://www.facebook.com/vgamestandn and had a couple interesting things (like some fairchild games)
