Buying something off a FB group
I was wondering what others would do in the same situation. This lady has a Roomba 650 for 125$ and i agreed to buy it and she said she would hold it for me. While talking to her to figure out a time to come by and get it (around 8-9pm tonight) she says "oh I just got offered 150$" and that she won't be home tonight which seems to me that she planned to get a couple people bidding each other up. I told her I don't want to play this game and that we agreed to the asking price, she even said she would hold it for me.
What would you guys do? Forget about it and move on? Offer 150? Or show up with 125 despite what number she says and just drive away after getting it (legal concerns??)?
Just don't know how to approach this from here and my wife would really like to have one.

I never negotiate when people try to drive up an already agreed upon price. I just walk away.

Also Roombas suck ass (actually they don't suck in the literal sense, they suck in the figurative sense though). They are horrible at doing anything that remotely resembles vacuuming. And they wear out and break very quickly. I wouldn't be surprised if this one is broken or at the very least doesn't perform as advertised.
If you're not feeling quite so stubborn, decide what you think is fair and don't go over that. If you want to be a dick and don't mind wasting some time, agree to whatever and show up with your $125 and tell her take it or leave it. I haven't tried that but I could see myself doing that to someone jerking me around like that.
Don't grab it and run regardless, that's a bad scenario.

Thank you for all the fast replies. She was quick to say 150 when I asked if I could clean the unit and let it run for a few mins before I commit to the purchase since my parents have had at least 2 or maybe 3 and they wear out over time. Like i was about an hour away from heading to the bank and getting her $$$$ i was glad i checked my fb messages since i rarely do.
She said "it was someone her husband knows, sorry."
As far as getting a Roomba, I've had several and find that they under-perform. I wouldn't waste my money buying another, but if you still want one, just keep an eye on WOOT!, they sell them a few times a month it seems, factory refurbished for like $99.

Always walk when they jack up the price. When you show up, they might even jack it up some more. I once drove 3-4 hours to pick up many items at a large sale. Prices were negotiated before going. I purchased everything except one item that they refused to sell due to being "emotionally attached." I was extremely puzzled since we agreed to prices and they knew I drove a long way out. Nothing I could do except take everything else. Used that money to buy more games.
Plus I can pick up a neato for less than that off of eBay
pretend you are willing to bid/pay up so you can get her home address to go do the deal. then take a crap on her porch in the night.
Ah, the Old Joe approach.

Thats pretty funny haha! And i love the display picture, i want that game
I ended up telling her to sell it to the other guy for 125 since she said they were a friend.....unless friends overcharge on their asking price to friends.
After I reported her to the admins she sends me a few sob messages saying I never said yes. But logic would dictate to me that saying she got a higher offer of 150 would indicate that my YES was acknowledged and she decided to make an extra 25$ off a friend....
After seeing those messages I block her, don't need to deal with that crap, then I have her husband try and add me as a friend, does he think I'm going to accept so he can find out where I live or something? Its not like he can't send me a message if he wanted too. People are odd and greedy.
