Help with RetroPie on Raspberry Pi Model 2B

I have recently purchased a couple of Raspberry Pi Model 2s and wanted to add RetroPie to them. I downloaded RetroPie from http://lifehacker.com/how-to-turn-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-retro-game-console-498561192 and followed their set-up guide but when I start it up I do not get any emulators.. just a couple of computer ones. I figured you would have to add ROMs for the emulators to appear but I still don't know how to do that. I hear you can just add them to a USB stick and plug them in and they will be copied to the microSD card. I wanted to try running them off of the USB itself since the mSD cards are just big enough for the OS to run... plus I wanted to add some GOODSETs to it.

Thanks in advance!!

  • I think the ROMs have to be on the mSD card for it all to work, so it sounds like you are going to need a bigger mSD card and start all over (sorry). I would recommend and 16GB card.
  • Nah you just have to edit some things to get it to boot off the USB. I have a 64gb with some stuff but I am going to probably get a TB hard drive for it
