NES no audio and no controls, HELP

Hi everyone. I am having some issues with an NES I recently picked up. After cleaning the unit I find that I am not getting any audio from either RF or AV. I am also not getting any controls. I thought it might have been a bad pin connector so I purchased a replacement but with the same result. I have cleaned everything again, tried several games and controllers with no luck. I checked board for obvious signs of problems but didn't see any. Also disabled the lockout chip and applied some new solder aroudn the RF modual area incase there was a bad connection.

Just looking to see if any one has some ideas of where I need to look next to try and get this up and running. TIA

hmmm.. well ive never experienced a problem like yours.  so i haven't a clue whats wrong.  maybe its a blown fuse on the board or a bad cap?  nevertheless if you cant fix it i have a mint nes motherboard thats been fully tested that i can sell to you for 25 dollars.
  • Well figured out that it was my controllers after all causing the issues with this system. Since I tried 3 different ones with no luck I assumed it was something else. Found some other controllers this weekend and they work just fine. Problem solved it seems.
