I am looking to buy a 'sealed' or unsued nes console. I just want to know what I can expect to pay.

I figured if I am cleaning all my games, why not have a new system to play them on.

Does anyone have one for sale?

  • $450 is average. Depends on the bundle, though. Top Loader is probably the cheapest new. Truly new NES bundles are pretty rare. REALLY varies on the version. Grey gun, orange fun, ROB bundle, top loader, sports bundle, bundle with mat etc, normal set with no gun, mario 3 bundle etc etc etc.
  • i was thinking just the control deck set. you know, system, one controller and mario.

hmmm, i guess ill have to keep my eyes open on ebay ;-)

where can i get a new top loader?
  • You should just settle for a boxed NES for arround $60 on ebay
  • I just opened a sealed Aciton Set, ahhh man it was great lol.
  • yeah, thats what i want to do. i have an action set that is super mint, but i want one that i know has never had a game in it...

  • Be careful on that one, though. It does appear new but he has a "new" ROB bundle up and I compared certain parts of it to my own and I think the ROB bundle is in like new fantastic shape and NOT truly new. Not sure about the others. I will email you some pics of my new NES systems maximus. Not for sale, though, but just to know what to look for.
  • Back in 2002 or 03, I purchased a sealed NES Sports Set on ebay for 200 which I thought was an good deal. 4 controllers, NES satellite, all minty fresh and it smelled great image Loved that...
  • For whatever reason, the sports sets seem to go kinda low. Don't know why as you get a lot of bang for your buck.
  • How does one know if a boxed NES is truly new, unused? There is no seal on the box.  It could still look really nice and new, but used a few times.
