Hooking up an Atari 2600
I just got some reproductions in the mail and I wanted to try them out but dummy me forgot that my old TV that had a coaxial connection and the one I bought to replace it...doesn't.
So I'm stuck since all I have is that coaxial to female RCA thingy, which won't work on this TV. And all my switcher boxes are too new to have that port on them...I looked through the like 5 different freaking types I have. I only found one that had something like it but it looks like it takes normal A/V and turns it into coaxial for some...odd reason. I just need it to do the opposite lol but I don't think that's possible.
What kind of hookup do I need? I'm not going to mod my atari...so it has to be external.
You'd think with 5 different types of switchboxes I'd have one that takes it but noooo...-_-

Or you could get an external RF modulator, which would do the exact same thing.
I actually have an RF modulator: http://www.radioshack.com/rf-modulator/1502526.html
But doesn't that do the opposite of what I want it to do?
Best answer, have the console modded to output s-video or composite.
Not as good answer, are you the TV doesn't have Coax somewhere? That's still a standard feature on all (or so I thought) TVs. I sell TVs so I've seen many. A lot of computer monitors even have it.
As for not modding the console and no coax, you need a VCR as devices meant to do this cost a lot more.
