By far the worst F1 game on the console. F1 WGPs games and Monaco/F1RC are very good games, if you're looking for an F1 game on N64 avoid F1PP.
The game has some nice features but it looks a generation behind the best F1 games on N64, PC and PS1 of the time.
This time too I used a Williams-Renault, not Villeneuve (the also in this game doesn't got his real name, he's called Driver-X), I used the great Damon Hill.
If you beat Indy Racing 2000, I think every F1 game will be done. Am I right ?
All the F-1 games are beaten. Indy Racing 2000 is not an F1 game, Indycar games are very different. I really like the idea to play it, unfortunately I don't have it as it wasn't released in PAL version :-(
If I'll find a mint copy for cheap I'll buy it, so I would have it for my collection too ;-)
I'm stuck in Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I can't beat that part at exactly 2:04:47 in this video:
I always fall in lava. Anyone can help me ?
EDIT: What the ... ? After a lot of tries, I was tired and I turned my console off. Now, I try it again and I get it the first time. Rayman is jumping a lot higher now. Seriously, this is very strange. I really don't understand. Is it a problem with my controller or anything ? Seriously, I'm confused and I'm scared of my cartridge right now.
EDIT 2: I just took videos of both situations. The first video is what it looks like when everything goes well (sorry if it is shaky, I filmed the video with the help of my torso and my chin). The second video is about the problem I encountered today (my father filmed it, so it is not shaky like the other video).
Very strange. I beaten the games three times (two of them was the N64 PAL version) and I never had that problem. I don't know if there is a movement of the platform's level or it's a problem of the game.
Ler us know if you discover something about it ;-)
I'm slowly progressing with Re-Volt and I didn't play DK:ZH in the last two days, yesterday after AeroGauge I played hours with ISS2000 and Goldeneye, both in multiplayer.
I beaten Re-Volt Bronze, Silver and Gold cups. Still missing the Platinum cup.
Strange that the Gold cup is a lot easier than the Bronze and Silver cups.
On my first attempt I arrived points leader in the last race and a 3th would guaranteed the win. Unfortunately the last race is very hard if you don't know it so I arrived 4th, and even if I had more points than the other racers I lost because 3th (or better) place is mandatory, I ended credits so game over.
Second attempt: I won all the races, even the hard last one. 20/20 points, I didn't get ful points in bronze and silver cups and I tried them more than twice before win.
Tomorrow I'll see if platinum cup is the hardest or not.
Today I beaten Platinum Cup too, I won all the single races and I found all the secret stars in pratice mode (some was very hard to keep, one in Museum required me a lot, and I realised that my car wasn't able to reach it so I picked it when I unlocked Toyeca car), so all cars unlocked.
Now I'm trying the simulation setting and it's incredible hard, maybe I'll try the 100% completion. We'll see ;-)
Good job ! My brother played this game with his friends when he was a child, but I never tried it myself. One day, I will !
I also have good news. Rayman 2: The Great Escape is beaten ! Wow, what a fantastic game. Platform games are normally games I like a lot, but this one really stands out. It has such beautiful graphics, charismatic characters and great tracks. The worlds are so inspiring and the art style is really unique. When I was at school, I was impatient to play it in the evening. There are some minor things I disliked, though. For example, the problem I had in the Sanctuary of Stone and Fire. Also, I can't quit the credits at the end. I get stuck at the "The End" screen and when I reset my console, all my data from the last level is lost. I actually have 90.5% of the game done, but it should be 100% since I collected the 94 lums in the last world.
I didn't think I would have liked this game this much at first, but seriously, this game is now in my top 15 N64 games without a doubt. I highly recommend it.
Rayman 2 is a great game, back in days its magic amazed me so much.
The atmospheres are fantastic and all looks like a dream, some places are wonderful and seem from Alice in Wonderland or Journey to the Centre of the Earth. Sometimes places and characters are dark and the sensations are very deep.
Wen you see the sky painted in the walls you feel like to be very far from the real sky, this fantastic world of pirates sometimes is worrying.
The developers had varied inspirations, musics are freely inspired to Pink Floyd for example.
I love this game, initially it can seem a normal platform child oriented but it's a very deep experience.
I finished Quest 64 last week. Forgot to post about it when I did it. Still not a very good game, I'm sure the only reason I bought it back in the day was because it was the ONLY RPG option on the console. I've played worse games, but it is pretty bland and boring.
As a side note, after I finish Yoshi's Woolly World on Wii U I plan in tackling a bunch of other N64 games, preferably ones I've never beaten/played before. This topic has come a long way since I last visited! I almost feel like we can finish this task this year.

It is doable, we just need more people and motivation. I'm starting Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing this evening. I should finish it this week, even if I have a lot of exams. I'll study first, and then, in my free time, I'll play it. Can't wait to see how it is. After that, I'll tackle the infamous Superman.

Hot Wheels is fun. I rented it way back in 1999/2000. At least I remember it being good.
Good luck with Superman. I couldn't even bear watching a video of it. I'd just really like to know who the person was that sat back and looked at the game after it was done and said "You know what? I think we did a great job! Well done, team!"
Today I beaten Tetrisphere, which was beaten yet here. Very nice game, based on Tetris but original at the same time.
Very addicting and enjoying.
I made some progress in Zero Hour, no I'm near to 50%.
Next week I will start Worms Armageddon and Rakuga Kids.
Unfortunately a lot of unbeaten games aren't PAL release so I can't help with them.
I will make the possible with the PAL releases, maybe before the end of the year I will try to beat Body Harvest, probably the N64 game where where it's hardest see the end credits.
We have to advertise the gauntlet and find someone who loves to play NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL games. If we remove them from the list it's doable.
Hot Wheels: Turbo Racing is done ! This game is ridiculously short. I started it this morning and it is already finished. That's a good thing for the thread, but not for a kid that wants a full game. There were only 8 racing tracks and some of them, to be honest, looked the same. Except for that, it was pretty fun and original. I liked how there were so many cars to unlock and the variety in them. The music was good in general, but the sound quality was not the best. The graphics were acceptable. I would not say I loved it, but I found it to be a good game. I'd play it just for fun.
This is the last race of the game. There are no celebrations or anything. No credits either, since you can access them from the "Options" menu:
This is a car that you unlock when you beat the last race:
Nice Job with Hot Wheels man! It's one of the few N64 PAL racing games that I never beaten, so for this aspect it's nice to read that it's short haha.
Good progress in Duke Nukem: Zero Hour, now I'm in level 13/20 and I passed one of the hardest level I remember.
I also attempted to discover if it's really that it's impossible to 100% beat the game due a glitch in Up Ship Creek level, and yes I too achieved 98% but I think to have found which are the two missing enemies.
Now I have to find a way to awake them, if it's doable.
I haven't forgotten about this thread. Hexen is a bit tougher than I remember it being(and so damn cryptic). Got pretty far in Battletanx Global Assault before my memory pak crapped out and I forgot to write down the password >.< Just so used to auto-saves in modern games.
Going to be starting Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness hopefully by the weekend. I just bought it and never really played it so I'm excited, as I really like the other Castlevania game on N64.
Duke Nukem: Zero Hour is a very hard games in the first level's attempts. Sudden deaths system is always behind the corner and if you don't know the enemies timing and locations, things to do, etc, it can be incredibly frustrating.
I'm very proud of beaten it without a walkthrough this time :-P
Last night I beaten again ISS2000 too, I love that game. Unfortunately it's beaten yet.
I started Castlevania Legacy of Darkness. Only ever played the first part of the game but like I said I really enjoyed the first Castlevania on N64. This one, apart from the very beginning, feels very similar to the first Castlevania. I do notice the camera is a bit better but aside from that it feels almost the same. I'm currently 3 chapters in, not sure how long it is but I'm sure I'll finish it within a week.
Also, I just picked up Star Soldier: Vanishing Earth so that's next up.

It is pretty long, because of the cryptic levels and also because of the unnecessary ring levels. I'm on the maximum difficulty (Superman mode) and I find it really easy, but when you die, you need to start the level all over again. I don't dislike Superman 64 as much as other people in general. It's not that bad really, it's just an unfinished game. They put the ring levels to make the game longer and if you know the story with Warner Bros., you can understand why it's like that. I'll probably finish it tonight if the last level goes well.

This is the second basketball game I beat in my life, the first was Kobe Bryant in NBA Courtside, which I prefered over this one.
There's nothing that satisfy me more than a sport game being beaten !
Nice to read these things about Superman, it's always mentioned as thr worst game ever or so. I'll try it better soon or later.
About sport games, are the weak point of the thread hehe.
I played all the N64 soccer games (aside the Japanese exclusives) but now the only unbeaten soccer game is FIFA 64 (plus the managerial soccer game Premier Manager), I will find a loose cart to play it.
Almost all my sport games are brand new and a lot of sport games wasn't released in Europe so I can't help with them.
I will try to beat All Star Baseball 99 and 2000, unfortunately I'm not very good in baseball games, I have to understand well rules and dynamics.

If you want to to access to the next race you have to earn a minimum number of points so it's hard even arrive on the last race.
Unfortunately after winning the championship there is not a podium or any kind of celebration so I took a photo to the credits only.
Now I try to beat it again so I take a pic of the score.
EDIT: done.

I found all the time machine parts.
Now that I'm bettered it is less frustrating, in fact I completed the last levels without dying, so no rage quits hehe.
Hope to finish it in the next two/three days.
Great game folks ;-)
Without these problems:
- low frame rate
- no save points intra-levels
It would be a masterpiece.
Hail to the king baby!
