LoZ: ALttP something I've always wondered as a kid

As a seven year old, besides irrational dreams of owning supercars and having coca cola instead of water fountains at school, one of the smallest curiosities I still have yet to get closure on is this:  What the heck is under this bush on the peninsula of Zora's domain!?".

  • I always wondered what was under the clouds at the edge of the map. My cousin convinced me you could get under the clouds on the right side of the map which led to the Crystal world. I tried to get there for years.
  • Under that bush is a hole that leads you to an alternate universe where Link is the bad guy and Ganon has to save Zelda from the evil clutches of Link. And when you finish the game as Ganon you get a password that unlocks the alternate universe Mario Works where you play as Bowser to rescue Peach from evil Mario.

    Actually I have no idea.
  • What's under the bush, you ask?....

  • Purple Ganon.

    Edit-> Br81zad beat me to it ^_^;
  • Dat bush!

I've wondered the same thing myself

My friend loved to tell me about the Candy World in Super Mario Bros.

  • LOL! I think I need to find some kind of Zelda modding application to see what the hex value of that bush is or turn off the tree boundaries so I can actually walk up to it and slash it with my sword
  • Someone needs to whack that bush.
  • Haha love this thread!
  • You guys are gonna cause another Purple Gannon riot trying to defuse the mystery behind Zelda bushes.
  • If only there was a video site that looked these things up...

Oh, now that's just crazy talk there.
  • Probably a couple kids smokin' dope, isn't that what bushes are for?
  • That's where they buried Chris Houlihan.

Yeah, but even you don't know what's under that beast.

    Spoiler: Another, even thicker bush.

  • This reminds me of wondering what is in the inaccessible hallways in the snes Prince of Persia after all those years. I bought a game genie just to find out, only to discover that walking off the screen to those rooms causes instant death.

The bush therefore, must cause instant death. Actually I seem to remember trying to blow it up with the super bomb, only to be slightly out of reach.

I think it may be the only inaccessible bush in the game?

  • It's the doorway to the second quest (sigh).
