I'm fuckin stoked, the hype has hit me hard lately. Also the game has been completed and packaged for awhile now, just a matter of time before it hits stores. They've managed to do a great job at keeping it under a tight lid, I haven't seen a ton of media on it yet.

The 11th is a day off in Canada, so i'll be able to plow through a good amount of the game.
My oldest is more excited than I am about it, I've already threatened when I play it I'm locking myself in my room with headphones on if he didn't shut up about it and counting the damn days down.
So anyone that preordered the Pip Boy edition from Amazon, have you got a delivery date? I got an email saying in the title they had a date of delivery, but in the email it said unknown. I'm a bit concerned since it should ship tomorrow or Monday.
I wasn't that excited about it, but I did preorder off Amazon this week (only $49.99 for Prime members). So I do hope to play it a solid amount Tuesday night, Wednesday is a holiday too!
I don't care. MGS V will keep me occuiped for more time than i could have ever realized when i originally bought it. also have retro games i need to get to, spent two months on mgs v and i still haven't beaten it. stupid last 7 missions and you need to unlock them in unique ways.

Anyone looking forward to hitting up Target for the Nuka Cola Quantum? I'm torn between worrying constantly that they'll sell out by the time I get there because they only had a limited amount, and being super excited I can buy a few...
I hear ya, I must've watched the E3 presentation at least 20 times. I'm going for the Intelligence Bobblehead straight away for my build, if feasable. Very Easy + Companion if need be. Need max INT for my build.
Im Loving it so far! Didn't show up till about 5:30 last night but I played till around 12:30am and em having a great time! Havnt even done too much really. Did the mission where you get the mech suit and followed the people back to my home street, then from there I just started cleaning up the neighborhood. Probably spent 3 hours or so just going around and breaking down all the burnt out cars, fallen trees, tires and stuff in the houses for materials then I started making my "home base" I like to call it. Cleared all the destroyed houses and on one of the big foundations sorta close to the bridge, I made a huge place. Fortified it with turrets and things at the entrence and decked out the top floor pretty nice. Even moved all my crafting equipent/work benches up to the top. Set up a pool table Sorta my man cave now!
Fun so far, still getting used to everything. I did that quest to get the power armor, and I went to do another quest, ran outta power for it, and my pockets were too full so I had to slowly walk back to town.
How do you scrap supplies for building stuff? I know how to scrap armor/weapons, but how do I scrap building materials?
Their biggest gripe is not being able to kill your dog. Seriously. It sounds like they've never played a Bethesda game since Morrowind; essential story npc's have been invincible for a long time. Sure, some games they went a little nuts with them(like 1/3 of the population in Skyrim) but compared to all the freedom you DO get, it's a very small gripe.

Sick game so far.. I'm nearly level 10. I just finished the quest to save the guy from Trinity Tower (I think that was the name of the spot) from the super mutants. After this quest, I got the option to have Strong (a friendly super mutant) as my companion. I had recently went to Diamond City and was giving Piper (hot news-lady) a try, yet I liked the pooch better. Strong is better than both of them IMO.. he can carry more than humans can, plus he is a better bullet-shield, and he's all about that melee attack with his lead pipe.
I still have yet to craft any living spot, etc.; only build a few weapons to far.
How are you guys dispersing skill-points? I usually start off with an equal-balanced build in the Bethesda games, then spawn off. I've been dumping quite a few points into luck (wanna get that random stranger to one-shot stuff for me; also works on bosses), and into charisma/ intelligence.
