Laughed for an Hour
My millennial kid brother who knows next to nothing about the NES asked to play some of the old stuff. He asked me to pull out the shittiest game I had. His totally unsuspecting reaction to the existance of Color a Dinosaur was priceless. He couldn't believe it was actually a game.

Millennials (also known as the Millennial Generation or Generation Y) are the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates when the generation starts and ends; most researchers and commentators use birth years ranging from the early 1980s to the early 2000s
I *LIKE* color a dinosaur. It's fun, in small doses.
Edit: I truly did mix you up with another person. For that im sorry.
I made a mother fuckin blue dinosaur.
BLUE. DINOSAUR. Hence, the program is awesome.
Honestly though, I refuse to call it a game. But it is 100x more fun than half the shit I got as a kid though. Fucking etch-a-sketches where I drew stairs all day long. Or fucking overrated light bright.
And blue dinos rock.
i pmed you man. its not really an argument.
I must have missread years of posts . My apologies
Even worse than that, I didn't post the first year I was here, I lurked. So, "year" of post. No S.
lol its over
Hahaha fuckin' nailed it! Man, you know a game really must suck ass when an argument breaks over the fact that someone even claimed to enjoy it in small doses. I mean shit, if I said I owned E.T. for the 2600 I wouldn't expect anyone to challenge the claim. That there is a champion-level shitty game. I wish the dev of Color a Dinosaur could read this thread lol
OP after his 10 minutes of torture with this , you let him atleast play some contra or something right?
o.o Jeez guys... are we still collectively giving a shit over what ANYONE does with their own damn money and property? Spare us, please.
... We followed up with some Battletoads/Doubledragon and had a wonderful time.

I really like battletoads double dragon on nes. Havent beaten it yet but Ive gotten to the level where you hang on the fence mario world style. Died a few times on that one. Does 2 player make it easier or harder on this one?

I'd actually argue Taboo is worse. At least with Color A Dino, you know from the title alone what you're getting into.
Taboo The Sixth Sense sounds like it could be interesting, something like Univited, not an f'n tarot card simulator.

NA needs its own version of AMA's.

Yea, like I said, I like color.
Fuck taboo. Only good thing about it, cartoon boobs on nes.

...I liked ET too....
As for the color a dino team, they made out all right, they made that Art Alive! on sega (I like color a dino better. It has dinos), videomation on nes, and a bunch of shit no one cares about like backyard football.
... (and action 52 on sega)

ET was okay once you understood what was going on. It's no worse than Raiders, another HSW game. The Krull game was pretty cryptic as well. Let's face it, the 2600 wasn't the best platform for movie based games.

I respect ET for how ambitious they were trying to be with the game, as there's barely any exploration games on the 2600(for good reason, too, that system is horrendously limited), but yeah, the game isn't that great.

Imagine you get to rent Taboo for a whole weekend as a kid
Why have I had to say this repeatedly over the last few days it seems....

I know it's pricey, but I legit want Color a Dinosaur.
Dinosaurs rule!
Especially with the volume cranked to the max!
It is very, very hard to pick a 'favorite', but maybe Main BGM #2 or #5 ?
