Wii U Pro controller problem

I was playing Shovel Knight with an official Wii U Pro Controller when suddenly the game paused. I tried to unpause using the same controller without results. The weird thing is only the select, pause, home, and power buttons work during the Wii U home page. All of the other buttons including the directional and analog buttons are un-responsive. I already charged, resync, and reset the controller. Please help.

    Buy another one at walmart, put the bad one in the box, return it and tell them it doesn't work so it won't go back on the shelf. I don't think controllers are serialized on the outside of the box.



    I know I'll get some heat for this.

    Doesn't bother me in certain ways. Manufacturer warranty since it'll be sent back to Nintendo.

    Sounds like your system could have crashed, did you try unplugging it and booting it back up? I've had this happen two or three times before and it didn't matter which controller I was using.

    I just tried that and it did not work. Thanx for the advice.
