EMU controllers

What are you all using when running emulators on pc or other emulation consoles? I would divide it into what is your favorite wired and wireless (bluetooth) controller? I feel like it would be best to use a snes wired controller, and dualshock 3 wireless but I was wondering if there is some third party modern stuff thats better? I want to hear about god tear controllers!

  • You mentioned what I pretty much use when emulating (which I rarely do these days)... wired USB SNES adapter with real SNES controller OR wireless PS3/PS4 controller.
  • I don't emulate that often, but when I do I use the controller for the system I'm emulating via USB. Otherwise I use a DualShock4.
  • The USB adapters like many say, but I've kind of stopped for that. I used to LOVE Thrustmaster Firestroms, the 6 button on the face model. They're wired USB though, and been canceled years and years ago. Logitech f710 are good if you don't mind heavy controllers, I use them on windows, android, and amazon fire (bastard android).
  • What I mostly use is the PS3/PS4 controller and the GC adapter for the Wii U on my PC. Sometimes I use the Xbox controller as well.
  • I'm a fan of Logitech pads. I presently use the F310. It's great for the price. It's comfortable, and the directional pad and analog sticks are fine. If I have a complaint it's that the triggers are a bit stiff.
  • Ive used a wired xbox 360 controller for years. Been perfect for pc games and when I emulate, has enough buttons/triggers to match everything while letting me map save/load state and fast forward
  • The best d-pad I've ever used was the sixaxis ps3 controller. I'm not fucking kidding at all.
  • Wired xbox 360 controller for the most part. But, I've started using USB adapters for real controllers respective to what I'm emulating, recently.
  • Moga Bluetooth Controller for when i emulate on my phone. Its pretty great for games like Ice Hockey due to having a Circle Pad like analog stick.

I use a PS4 controller when i emulate at home. I only do so to play ROM hacks however. Once I get a Powerpak that'll be a thing of the past.

Logitech pads are great. I have an earlier model that looks just like the F310 but without colored buttons, and I love it. I needed a USB controller the other day but couldn't find my Logitech and was forced to use a 360 controller... Logitech's d-pad is vastly superior, hehe
