The game's not terrible, but it definitely could've been better. I haven't really played enough to form a solid opinion of it, but what I did play was not bad.

LOVE this game! It was the first game I bought with my own money when I was a kid. I'm with you, Khan. No one will be able to tell me this game sucks, ever.

Wow! Were you really into space and nasa? Thats really cool man i never saw a commercial or anything in nes power how did you even hear of it?
For me I saw it in a store and since I liked the space shuttle thought it would be a cool game. Never heard of it before and definitely never saw any ads for it.
As bad as this game is, I will say I do enjoy the shuttle takeoff cut-scene in the game. Good voice synthesis and graphics. IIRC the cut scene plays as a demo if the title screen is left idling, so I recommend to everyone load up that game, watch the cut-scene, and turn off the game. You just saw the best part of Space Shuttle Project.

Good, but not the best. Kind of frustrating. At least when I first got it way back when. Although it is fairly easy to beat now.

Correct, it was mail away card for Astronaut Ice Cream. I wonder if anyone still has some. That would be a true collector's item.
Ice cream might have been the bomb, though.
