This is a pretty fun game, and it's very generous with extra lives.
So continues are allowed?
No, you play until you have the option to continue. Your score will be on the screen so you can take your picture.

One of my first few attempts. I'm still learning how to die more slowly

The game is really generous with the health power ups as well. It's like SNK intended it to be played as a two player co-op game and they just left the same power ups in the one player mode instead of changing it.

The TV stand I bought off Ebay about 2 years ago. Its pretty neat, I like watching my kids play on it!

That is neat, I don't remember seeing one of those when I was a kid. I did have some kind of wooden Nintendo storage chest though that had similar looking Mario and Zelda artwork on it where I kept my Nintendo Powers. I found the storage chest last year when I was helping my Mom clean out her basement, but my Nintendo Powers were nowhere to be found. When I asked where they were, she said "Oh, I threw those out a long time ago". I had a subscription from issue #1 through the time the N64 came out, so I must've had about 7-8 years worth of them in that box.

There was one kid in my neighborhood that had his room decked out with all the nintendo gear. He had the desk, the tv stand, and one of the really big 4ft Nintendo watches on his wall. At the time, I thought it was actually lame!

I had a friend like that too. He had the Super Mario sheets on his bed, Nintendo chairs, Nintendo stickers all over his TV along with Nintendo and WWF posters all over his walls. That would make for a heck of a game room nowadays!

Nice job. I knew there was more to squeeze out of it, but most of what I missed were those synchronized spin-kicking guys, and I wasn't in the mood to chase a bunch of them around.

Yeah, it gets old quick. Luckily, the enemy placement is always the same, so that helps.
