Just beat Undertale. (My quick take on this game)
GETTING MY ATTENTION
What? You like Earthbound and haven't played Undertale yet, the **** is wrong with you?
First let me just say that when I heard of this game, I didn't think or care much for it. It just looked like one of those wanna be retro style looking games to bait the 'nostalgia group' on board and probably offered generic, same old RPG tactics. Man was I simply wrong about this and hear's why.
What honestly got me curious of checking this game out to begin with was listening to one of it's tracks called,
Undertale OST - Death By Glamour Extended (Can't remember how I stumbled on it)

I'm like, man this is catchy as hell! After listening to it a couple of times,I decide to check out the boss battle that has this music playing and I was surprise with the type of gameplay it offered. It wasn't one of those standard, you attack, they avoid/defend, next turn right away types of RPGs.
The heart/shmup type of fighting style this game offers is something I've never seen an RPG before and it works really well on here.
At this point, I decided to buy the game.
AFTER PLAYING THE GAME
I don't know how this game did it, like I said I wasn't expecting much when I bought it, let alone for only $10 but this honestly one of the BEST games I've played this year. It's simple but it handles it's story, gameplay and atmosphere so well. There's just so many surprises you never expect and it takes you on such a emotional roller coaster ride. You end up loving most of the characters you come across.
What I personally loved about this game was the music, an amazing mix of old school and modern instruments playing together.
There's more I could say for it, let alone for that 'story' that really pulls you in keeping you on your journey but I'll avoid spoilers for now.
The game isn't too long, I've beat it in under 3 days but that didn't stop it from bringing such entertainment with the humor, visuals and great soundtrack it has in store for you.
After playing it now, it feels deserving of the $60 retail price, maybe if it ever get's a physical release.
All and all, this game is great, you'll be drawn to it pretty quick. Any game that can make you cry with it's on following plot is totally worth checking out in my book.
My advise if your playing this for the first time is, STAY DETERMINED.
