Migraines
In my lifetime I have had two full blown mirgraine headaches, and countless other types from stress or what have you. I really hate them and the past couple years I've been bothered by a random events where I actually won't have a headache and as the day wears on i'm struck with these "jagged" lines in my vision it starts out as a blur of sorts and slowly spreads across and actually affects my vision to the point I can't see shit but these damn lines but within 30min to an hour it goes away and I am fine. I was getting concerned and finally spoke to my Dr about it and she tells me its a type of migraine or the onset of one as she also deals with them personally. As I stated earlier I have had two so I know what they are like from the pain and staying in a dark and quite room plus your to the point of ripping someones head off and shit down their neck for just breathing too loudly near you, but now its just these "blinding" ones I deal with. Had one hit today and finally can see a bit so thought I'd share.
Headaches suck, being unable to see for a bit really sucks. Anyone else deal with these?
I'm bored, humor me.

On a funny note, my grandma swears she has never had a headache. I tell her she's real lucky all the time for that fact... haha
I would be rather nervous about vision problems from a headache. I hope you find a method to manage your pain levels.
Sorry to hear.
The kicker, however is when these events happen I don't have a headache at all, it's days before and hours later I start having headaches again.
I hope it is something that it is something that you can work on and help over time.
I get migraine auras every two or three years or so, though without the headache. Pretty much just the same as you said, looks like a jagged line flashing over and over again and blurs my vision over for a while. I get these maybe once every couple of years or so and it usually seems to be set off by bright sunlight. Sitting in a dark room seems to be the only thing that helps.
These hit fairly randomly but its several times during a years time, I had this one today and the previous on was maybe a couple weeks ago, before that near a month. it may be with in the next couple hours another hits or maybe weeks from now. I cannot put my finger on what exactly sets it off.
The worst part is that I'm not even sure what triggers them for me; I tried monitoring possible triggers, but they still sometimes occur for no reason. And there's also no real pattern to their occurrences. Their frequency is sporadic. On 2 occasions, I had 2 in the same day, where the pain just felt additive. The usual suggestions don't work: quiet, dark place, cold compress, etc. OTC pain killers have no effect, and neither have any of the stronger, prescribed ones. Very rarely, like 2 or 3 times in all of my experience, the pain was quite a bit less, though I've no idea how that came to be.
What I wouldn't do to get just the aura and no headache. What you have isn't strange, rest assured, as they've been documented to a certain extent. When I get the blind spot, I go into a state of pure dread. Since getting these, I have a lot of trouble looking at certain repetitive patterns in my surroundings as they feel like the blind spot (or I guess I'm scared that they'll trigger it).

My bro-in-law apparently can't get brain freezes. Lucky mofo. I rarely eat ice cream but I do like to get slushes from Sonic during the summer but the past few years I get brain freezes so easy that it's difficult for me to make it even through a small slush anymore.
I don't miss the vomiting bit whatsoever *knocks on wood* been while, but sometimes I'd would almost rather ralph than not be able to see what the hell I am doing.

I know your pain. I have gotten migraines since I was in 8th grade. I know one is coming on when I see a "lightning bolt" in my field of vision; doc told me they are called auras. When I see the aura, I typically pop two Tramadols, another prescription migraine med, and go find a dark, quiet place to lie down. They suck so bad and mine have caused very very strange things to happen.
This especially. Personally, I find the pain that proceeds the aura to be a much bigger distraction and interference from all activities than the aura itself.
Fun fact: While you're asleep and dreaming, if you get an aura, it will appear in your dream exactly how it really appears. You may wake up due to the aura and then notice it.
My migraines are triggered by the weather, the pressure drops I get a splitting headache with nausea and then it rains. Decongestants help - but regular pain killers don't touch the damn things. I also get them along with motion sickness. So no FPS games for me - at not without a lot of puking and pain.
Well apparently theres a lot of rain moving in for the next few days, so maybe it is weather related. I'll have to keep note when this occurs again. I can't take anything either as it either doesn't work or I end up with a "rebound" headache as my dr called it.
If not, try weed. It helps a lot with headaches/eye issues.
Try seeing a chiropractor, it's amazing what a few adjustments can do.

This has helped people I know completely get rid of migraines and stress headaches. Apparently others also, with migraine related to ADHD.

Now that I can attest to and does indeed work unfortunately it's still illegal here and can't afford to fail any random drug tests.
It sucks man, there are meds that help but they haven't work for either of them. It gets so bad sometime she has to go into a pitch black room and lay down until it goes away.
Weed makes my fiance worse unfortunately as well.
Hope you resolve this my friend.

That sucks, man. On the plus side, it looks like it's starting to turn the corner in the US in terms of legalization. Once everyone sees the tax dollars that come in, they'll start changing laws in more states.
I know when one is coming because it looks like I'm under water when trying to see and it gets worse until it overtakes both of my eyes. After they clear up, usually an hour or so, the massive headache and body aches start. Ultra severe ones include vomitting or just bad nausea feeling. I find that if I can grab some caffene and 2 Excederin for Migraines (make sure it's this type) and get it when my eyes are blurry, I will end up with just a slight dull headache and another dose kills it pretty quick. Otherwise, I'm f'd.
I also recommend grounding- like the third round hole on an outlet, but for your body.
In my case, I think it had to do with too much caffeine in a short period of time, and I haven't run into one since.
But before I figured out what it was, I thought I was having a stroke... it was a really bad sensation, overall.
Have you seen a neurologist? I had something similar, and then I had a seizure. Apparently the onset of migraines and seizures can be similar and not all seizures involve spasms and mouth foaming.
I've had a CT scan done but it's been awhile, and either things are getting worse or I am paying more attention than I once was beforehand, also had a slight vertigo sensation twice yesterday just lasted a few seconds almost like a "head rush" and one today just walking past a doorway and clipped one side like I stepped halfway into the door facing instead of the door way. Now that has me a tad concerned and I am calling my Dr monday reguardless if I am getting paranoid or not.
