Yeah it makes me pretty sad too. Capcom and Square Enix are almost in the same boat. Capcom went from Mega Man, Breath of Fire and Resident Evil which were great to the garbage that is Resident Evil 6 and Breath of Fire 6 which is a mobile game. And Square Enix went from Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior, and Chrono Trigger to the Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy XV. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
IS THERE A BAD KONAMI TITLE ON SNES? I feel like everyone is mentioning there favorites and almost taking up the whole list of konami titles.... Are there any to avoid?
Like I said, I found Animaniacs to be pretty mediocre. Need to try it longer but the brief time I played it it didn't catch my fancy. It's not something I'd go out of my way to buy, unless you're a huge Konami/Animaniacs fan.
Yeah, I tried to give it a go for the SNES thread. Too frustrating, too mediocre, and too confusing.

Yup you could tell they wanted to do something a little different from your typical licensed product platformer tie-in, but it's one of those poorly executed products that in the end you wish went the traditional platformer route because then it most likely would have been somewhat decent.
Probably one of the more decent games on SNES you can still pick up under $10 is Tiny Toons: Buster Busts Loose. It's a well animated, colorful and fun platform game. It's not a very challenging game but if you have half an hour to kill it's a decent game to check out.
There are some really good Japan releases from Konami as well that don't really require any knowledge of Japanese to play. For example, the Parodius series is a horizontal shmup that is absolutely hilarious to play, and Mystical Ninja had a number of sequels on the console. Definitely worth checking out!

Neat! Won't pass it over if I see it..... which I rarely do anyways, haha.
Konami was awesome during the 16bit era outside the SNES with both gameplay and graphics. They made Castlevania Rondo of Blood for the PC engine and some the finest Sega Genesis games like Rocket Knight, Contra Hard Corp, and Castlevania Bloodlines.
Regarding your list, I will give a shout out to Mystical Ninja as well. I really loved this game as an early teen, and my brother and I would rent the game a few times during one summer and play it together constantly. If I remember correctly, there is a 2-player coop mode to it, right?

Oh yes, Contra Hard Corps was the only reason I had a Sega for a while.

Hmmm... I'll have to give that another shot. I think I'm thinking of Pocky & Rocky right now.... But Mystical Ninja comes up alot. I'm not sure about the co-op mode.

I agree, Buster Busts Loose is solid. The Tiny Toons sports title, Wacky Sports Challenge, is just as fun if you can find some other player. I believe it goes up to forty-two. Er, four. It goes to four. But both are great fun.

I'll be honest... Had bimmy lee not brought the sports title over I never would have given it a chance. But I am sure glad he did!

Yeah man, thanks! That's why I love this place. I'm constantly adding "new" games to play.
You are quite welcome. It's not Konami, but have you played Sky Blazer? I believe it's a well known title. I had never even seen a screenshot until I gave it a shot (again, when bimmy brought it over) and I then rushed to get a copy for myself. Very fun. Dream TV is another non-Konami title, although I can't really say it's good. It is just... Very different.

I gotta throw in my 2 cents on Buster Busts Loose. Loved that game growing up. Eventually learned the codes for the Haunted House level and the Football game level. Those 2 were my favorite, so sometimes I'd just skip to those for a quick fix. The space level at the end was definitely nerve racking the first time through.
Anyway, pick that one up if you're the type that likes goofy, light-hearted, platformers.

I'm all for goofy, and light hearted games as long as the controls are tight! Once you (the game developer) screw up the controls, you've lost me. I mean, pretty self explanatory.... but still, some games just seem to miss the mark.

Control is responsive, but from what I remember that dash can get wild. Those bunnies are fast when they wanna be, and it took some practice to get them to stop when and where I wanted. I was a lot younger then, so it might not be as big a deal as I remember.

I'm currently going for a full snes Konami Set, here is all I have completed thus far.
You seem to have too many of copies of Turtles In Time and Tournament Fighters. I'll be a gentleman and take them off your hands for you, no problem!
Edit: Haha, that was like 4 months ago, but I wanted to look through the Konami list again. Hoping to play a few more soon.
There was definitely a period of time where everything they made was magic. They could almost do no wrong in the late 80's/early 90's.
Rise from your grave?

Haha, nope... Ppl hating on Konami for current business practises made me leave... then I wanted to check out more Konami as stated, haha.
I think the Konami NES/SNES collection is going to be something I'm going to be setting my sights on. Take advantage of those golden years.
