We call it the "Sharpie variant". Incredibly difficult to obtain and a rental exclusive as well. I believe yours is even rarer because the barely legible "PS3" is usually in the bottom right corner instead of the top right.

Also gotta note that this has art from a yet unreleased game at the time, that being World at War. Could be the original concept art for that game which would later be used. Surprised they waiting until the next release to use the art since they pretty much had it finalized in this version.

it was your call of duty to report this rare variant, ive only seen 1 other in the wild, but the one I saw only had the 4 under the 'modern warfare' not above the 'y' also.

Man that is a rare variant among rare variants, I've heard CIB copies are going for somewhere in the neighbourhood of $115,000-$130,000 depending on condition. If it comes with the sticker than was included only in the variant version of the instruction manual, tack on another probably $12,000-15,000.
