SNES Handheld suggestion
Over the years I have seen a handful of 3rd party NES, SNES, combo etc Handheld Units. I want to know what the best "Bang for the Buck" is, as far as SNES goes, if it plays NES/Famicon whatever too that's fine.
SupaBoy seems to be popular. Retro Duo Portable? A few years ago I remember seening a nice Custom one before it was really a "thing". I did try to search, so apologies if I missed it. Thanks.
I all ready have a Sega Nomad, and a RetroMini NES handheld. I have a DS Lite and a smart phone that I know I can play ROM's on, but it's not the same.

I picked up a cheap RDP v2 replacement which seems to work ok so far but I really can't recommend these clones.
It's basically luck of the draw if you get a lasting unit with minimum issues.
I know you said playing on the phone wasn't the same, but what part are you missing, the using actual carts or the control? A JXD-7800b is a great portable system, and you can have entire libraries of systems wherever you go.
Doesn't fit in your pocket however.
I have a retro Duo Portable 2.0 and have liked it a lot, but others have had issues. I've also heard the same about the supaboy so my guess would be as good as the next guy's!

Minor sound issue but that is all. It buzzes a little if you use certain headphones. I have had no issues with it.
I honestly enjoy using my MOGA controller with my phone for snes on the go.
The emulators run flawlessly for me, i notice no difference. And physical buttons FTW. And having every game on an SD rather than carry carts around is a plus.

I had the Supaboy v1 and RDP v1 and they both died on me. The Supaboy stopped loading games and the RDP totally died. The RDP did last a few years longer.

I can't comment on the Supaboy, but the RDP V1 probably had its RAM died. That clone uses a 5v chipset paired with 3.3v RAM that is directly connected, thus is being overdriven. If you can find someone who has a hot air rework station, you can fix the RDP.
