So I've been building the Falcon for about 3 weeks and i'm about 2/3 of the way through. I haven't been working on it everyday, maybe a few times a week. I have pictures from the progress at the end of each day. There is a total of 318 pages in the instructions and i am on page 204. So almost done.
There is of course much more. We also stayed in the Lego Hotel which is almost as cool as the theme park. I hate to be a shill but I can't recommend this destination enough.
Not quite everything but there are a lot of models. Some you can touch some you can't. (No touching on the Lego Movie set.) Everything is kraggled but I did see a few models in the open that had a piece or two missing.
So 12 days to build, averaging between 1-4 hours a day. I'd say it was roughly 30 hours to build it out, and that's with me sorting through the pieces to find everything. Here's a couple more pics to show how massive this thing is. I set it next to the Millenium Falcon set that has been for sale the past coupld of years. 7965 is the set number.
It's going to be hard to follow that amazing Millennium Falcon, but after seeing this thread, I decided to break out my old Lego sets from when I was a kid. I was mostly into the space themes from the early 90's, with my favorite being M-Tron. I say "was", but who am I kidding? I still love my Legos.
Anyway, I had built a bunch of things from my own imagination and had never taken them apart, so they were all still built and sitting in my old closet at my dad's house. I decided to take a lot of pics of them in order to break them down and re-build the core sets. Here are two vehicles I built that I have always been proud of, with the first one being my favorite (please excuse the dust):
Both of the above vehicles were based off of pics from the back of the box of their respective sets, heavily modified to my own liking at the time. The rest of the pics below are the re-built core sets. I regret never having any of the original Space Police or either of the Blacktron series, but I think I had plenty to keep me busy.
I have a shit ton of legos, most of which are in bins in a million pieces still after the Ms. decided she wanted to sleep elsewhere. I've got a bunch of patterns for these mosiacs also, but these are the ones I've completed. I also have a star trek one that's done, but I guess I don't have a pic of it. Yoda is huge and he will destroy you.
This is awesome! I know it's been several years since this was posted, but I know you're active on here and wanted to ask what base you used for these or where you got them? I have some bigger sheets but they aren't anywhere nearly the size for something like this and let alone, buying more at retail is costly. Thanks and these are dope, hope you still have 'em! Hang 'em high. be proud, lol!
So here is my Lego collection: First 2 pics are my built sets on display. Next 2 pics are my store displays i found off a guy on Craigslist. they are neat. Last 2 is my backlog, so i am ready for a long snowy winter. I have a big tub and about 20 other loose sets i got in a big lot to build also but nothing that great.
Anyone seen some of the new 2016 sets? I went through them on Bricklink, that Nexo Knights collection looks pretty awesome. Saw about 8 sets from that alone I want.

No, not yet, anything good???
Depends what you like. Not many of the new Star Wars sets look that great, but the Nexo Knights look pretty cool. It's like a cross between space and castle, lots of mech type stuff.

I have the Queen Anns Revenge ship and found it to be enjoyable. I really like how it looks. Sitting on a shelf across from my skull eye schooner
On the set of the basement from the Lego Movie.
Chewbacca!
My son with R2-D2. His head moves too.

Family Photo!
I ordered the F40 Ferrari, waiting for it to show up in the mail.
Any VA (or surrounding) members going to Brick Fair this weekend? (or have been in the past and can give some feedback on the event?)
I'm thinking of going up with the family for the day on Saturday.
So this years comic con, I was actually able to get the sets they had for sale.
The process of getting a chance to buy one is way better then previous years and I hope it stays like this too.
They also had the early release of this set

Lots of really impressive models of all sorts in scales that are really hard to appreciate without seeing them in person.
If you have the chance to go to one near you, it's worth it, IMO.
Tons of custom stuff for sale, as well (custom-screened parts, custom molded items, etc)
Now we had a bit of free space at home and decided to display some our Star Wars sets.
We still have one ship to build and put it with the others but this is how the sets are displayed now.
The second pic doesn't have the AT-AT but it shows how they look at night with the lights on.
Anyone pick up series 14 minis?
They're sold out on the Lego shop, I just ordered the Ninjago temple and wanted to grab a few of the season 14 figs.
Another issue I ran into was storing the damn things...

I lined up at the store to get my set. >.<
