This one posted with a sob story about how the seller's father in law had it and died. Atariage called it out as fake. Seller registers on Atariage and tries to defend herself. And then she starts posting all over the auction about how Atariage is harassing her, how she's reported them to the (Aussie) authorities, etc.
YES ,, It was purchased a while ago from CASH CONVERTORS IN TULLAMARINE VIC, AUSTRALIA by my late Father .
NO, Its not an original ; but something someone has made up. perhaps to add it to their collection because a genuine one was too rare to find and too expensive to buy. Then it ended up at cash convertors where my dad got it from in amongst other stuff because there are other things in his collection which have Cash Convertor stickers on them.
YES it's a PAL Version because it works on the PAL Atari's
YES it comes in a box and has instructions
YES Its become infamous throughout the world and so have I !! :-(
YES Very collectable AIR Raid Repo LOL!!!! which has made headlines throughout the Atari Forums and Youtube. Go ahead check it out...
Pickup from Coburg Vic , Or can post anywhere throughout the world.
BTW, Cartridge has all been put back together and T handle was glued with super strong Locktite , You will get it all complete and is not broken anymore... Tested and Works
There's a local shop with a copy of Pokemon Stadium without the label but had a crudely drawn label from what I am assuming was the previous owner marked at 29.99 lol
Only other thing I see about it on the forums seems to say that they are usually pricey, but $4K for fake games? I call shenanigans. I especially like how the quality is "second to none," but I guess that's not taking into account the video store name carved into the back of the Gold cart, lol.
I wanted to tell this story. Not your typical seller silliness, but I think it fits here.
I have a saved search for homebrews on eBay, as I'm sure some others here do. They have also probably noticed a lot of hacks being listed as homebrews recently. It annoys me a bit. I feel they are trying to use people's ignorance to their financial gain, as evidenced by the high prices. Not to mention the word "RARE" usually being in the title.
I messaged one seller doing this, and he pretty much understood and said he'd remove "homebrew" from the title. Sure he's still listing it for a high price, but there's one less piece of confusing information.
I messaged another guy, and he told me "we do not listen to internet bullies. kick rocks kiddo. your one purchase over the last 6 months-troll on elsewhere." So of course I was determined at that point. Told him I'd just start reporting his listings. He said he'd have me removed from eBay. And later said I had a "tiny feedback." Really?! That's an insult now?!
So I reported all of his repro listings as they came in over the next few days. Now I look a week or so later, and he had just one up, none sold. So yay! The system worked! Now I need to decide if I want to be a real jerk and rub it in his face. Hmmm.

Seller supposedly sells it for $500 outside of Ebay. But wait! She has another one! (Or the first scam didn't take.)
