fourscore sealed for $5

I'm possibly meeting someone from craigslist to pick up a sealed fourscore adapter.

I'm assuming this is a pretty good deal....whats it really worth?

  • Ok wow. I just talked to the guy on AIM. He actually picked up about 15-20 4scores at walmart ~2000. Not that they are worth much, but I'm going to buy quite a few of them since they are all sealed. I think he has a satellite too in decent shape still boxed up. Kinda crazy that stuff had been sitting in the back of walmart for so many years.
  • That is crazy they would be at walmart that long. I would buy a couple of them from you if you are going to resale them.
  • There are a lot of sealed ones out there.  They aren't worth too much, but $5.00 is definitly a good deal.  I'd be interested in buying a couple, if you get 'em.

It isn't that crazy...they probably found a box in their back room...things get misplaced all the time, and by the looks of most WalMart/Kmart stores (at least prior to the time this person says he got them) they didn't care much about cleaning out old inventory. Around 2002, the TRU I used to work at still had a box full of sealed Genesis games sitting in the back room.
  • About 2 months ago I went to the game section at Walmart and found a sealed Sega Game Gear game hanging on the shelves to sell. It had a 29.99 price tag on it as well, lol. It even had the old Walmart flourcent green price stickers from years ago on it. I got a nice laugh out of it.

I picked up several sealed 4 Scores at a local flea market. I sold mine for 40 each on ebay. I would pick up all of them if you can. Make him a bulk deal on the whole set.

You should always grab things that seem old and hit up the little price checker machines located around the store. I got two GBA games that were marked 19.99$ each, Ice Climber and Bomberman for 5$ and 1$ respectively from Kmart about a month ago. WalMart and Kmart have the worst gaming sections I have ever seen, at least around here....most games are just sitting at the bottom of their locked game cases, almost all with the wrong prices on them.

The guy really did have about 20 of them. Unfortunately the rest weren't in that great of shape. If they were sealed they were pretty beaten up. I just picked up the 4 best looking ones. Although if I would have read this before I left I would have grabbed a couple more.
  • Sweet! You scored four Four Scores!

Sorry, I couldn't help myself image
