Where did the pic come from? I don't think it is real either, maybe a promo / CES mockup box at best. The back right side of the box has unusual white creasing along the side like it was hand assembled possibly.
How rare is Beethoven for the Game Boy? I tried looking it up on all eBays and didn't find it. I believe there is a copy locally, but it's not CIB I think
You guys for sure that box linked earlier isn't a real-deal copy? If it's a forgery then it's a fairly convincing one.
it doesn't look like a homebrew or something. as written on wikipedia the game was COMPLETED (and produced i guess?!) the release was just cancelled! i think the one or other copy has survived, so it's maybe a mega rare gb-item

What is this? Homebrew? It clearly has another style than the EU version and the Nintendo seal is oval....

have a look here:

also here (wikipedia):
In other media
In 1994 a side-scrolling video game titled simply Beethoven, but based on Beethoven's 2nd, was developed for the Sega Genesis[3] and Game Boy.[4] Though completed, it was cancelled before release.
