^ Especially with the accessories because some of those could take several years to find again...
For sure. You should be patient, give it a little more time. Take a break, but I don't think you should be to quick to decide to sell out. You never know what will happen and you don't want to regret any decisions in the future.
i stopped collecting for like 3 years, and then i found this bitch of a site... now i live in a cardboard box, eat ramen every day, but i have a damn near complete cib set to show for it! thanks, NA! i have also not been collecting much in the past 6 months or so... i have really lost a lot of interest too, so i can feel your pain.
jared, i think you and i have butted heads in the past, but i have butted heads with most people, so that's not an issue. when i think of accessory collectors, you are definitely at the top of the list and the first person that pops in my head. i hate to see ya go, but we will probably see ya back! we alllllllll come back at some point!
I'm sorry to hear about this. My personal advice to you (I went through a similar phase): just take a break from it all. Play some of the classics that inspired you in the first place. The worst thing is realizing that you sold off your pricless collection in heartbeat; as many people know, it would not be an easy task to rebuild it if you do change your mind. Just take time to think about it.
hey man sorry that you lost the passion for something you once enjoyed, I never traded with you but have gotten close on numerous occasions, anyways I would just get rid of the games you dont like to play, maybe keep a few of the bad ones for comedy value, cause there are so kick ass games on the nes and if you dont collect than you should use it for gaming, I could never be a collector, its just not for me, im a player, and dont see what the thrill would be. Anyways make sure to visit the site though cause its not all about nes its about life.

Herin lies one of the problems. I haven't played an NES game since I was a kid. I just collect to collect. So I have a big room full of crap I'll never use.
Seth how long before you make one of these threads
haha, i doubt i ever make one of these threads... unless my parents force me to move my stuff out of the house. if that happened, then i would definitely be selling, cuz i definitely dont have the room, nor do i have the desire, to have this stuff at my apartment!
and jared, i am the same as you. i dont play anything, it just takes up space; however, what makes us different is that my stuff is stored at a place that isnt my primary residence. in both of our cases, it just takes up space, but in your case, it is space that could be used for something else... sooooooo, the next question is: what are you going to do with the room once you clear it out?
