How many here own a CIB Flintstones 2?

How many people here own a complete copy of Flintstones: Surprise at Dinosaur Peak? When I say complete I mean cartridge, manual, box.

Myriad and the 3 Panesian games.  I sold those 4 a few months ago image  I still need a Stadium Events box as well.

  • Sounds Like you and Mike are in the same boat....Well He has the Panesians, Which I want a set of those above anything. Just because I'm a perv. Unfortunately the rarest thing we have is Happy Camper. Oh wait and a Gyromite with the chip. LMAO
  • I'm getting the Pans in the mail soon... they're repros though, does that count. lol
  • CIB + CB for me!
  • I have a CIB F2 as well.
  • aaron, i would suggest adding this to the rare games list, but only in cib form. hell... just add this to the list in manual form, cuz the other pieces arent that bad to acquire! expensive, but not hard. as for me, i am still missing the manual, and i plan on missing that for a long long time!
  • I of course have it CIB and I would speak for DreamTR and Dain as well. image

Before I edited the original post in this thread, I actually mentioned that I was thinking of adding this game to the "Rare Games" thread, but thought that it might cause this thread to degenerate into a debate about whether or not it "deserved" to be there.

I've always thought that CIB copies were certainly rare enough to warrant being on there, but figured I'd see how many people had them first.

  • Seems like when I was looking for this, I knew about 10 people looking for either the box or the manual. I got lucky and picked mine up from Parpunk when he sold off some of his upper-end stuff about 1.5 years ago.

Not a show off, just stating a fact. I bought the CB before I shelled out the cash for the CIB.
  • Maybe instead of calling it the rare games list, call it the expensive games list? Any game that regularly nets over $500 cart or CIB could go on there?   Then there's never a debate on it because something is or isn't $500.
  • ^ Not a bad idea, but god only knows how many sealed games fit the +$500 description, lots of early releases / Black Boxes / etc. The list would be way too long then.
  • Well, sealed is it's own category.  There aren't any sealed-only games on there at all that I know of.  As far as black box games, I'd say only stupidly mint stack-up, bb gyro or dk math jr. are going to make that list, and we could go by average rates to make sure things belong on the list or not (which would then eliminate those three).

  • I think the expensive games list is a good idea. Also, CIB Flintstones 2 definitely belongs. What about CIB copies of Mr. Gimmick and Rodland? Even though they're PAL, they both seem to be quite popular and desireable among the NTSC NES collectors. And, they both seem to average about $600-800 each, which fits the description of 500+.
  • I'd say yes to expensive PAL only games for sure.

But we shouldn't add them to the list of rare NTSC games list, however they do seem to be the most desirable PAL games. Regardless, I agree in needing to add the FS2...however I have yet to own it in it's bare looseness still.
  • Trust me when I tell you that you guys have no idea what sort of Pandora's box you're opening when you start discussing PAL rarities. I found that out the hard way. image

The rare games list is going to stay exactly as it is right now. At some point I may throw F2 up there, but that's going to be it.

F2 is semi-rare but complete is very tough. Some games are just that much harder to find complete and F2 is one of them. I believe this may have been mostly rental only with limited retail sales which may be why the box is so hard to find.

If F2 ends up on the rare games list, it's definitely going to be a CIB only situation. In my experience the box is tough, but the manual is the part no one has. Rental places didn't take very good care of those things.

I got lucky and stumbled into my F2 manual, and I'm really glad I did.
  • there is probablly less CIB F2's here than stadium events. it should deffinatly be on the rare games list!
  • also there are less cib 3 screw gyros, dks, dk jrs, etc. i like the list the way it is now, but i think it would be good if we put who owns just the F2 manual. if you have the box and cart to go along with the manual, great, but the only thing that you need to go onto the list is the manual!
