Nice topic, first time in a long time I actually scrolled through my collection list to see how far I am with my NTSC NES collection.
Turns out I've got exactly 800 NTSC NES games, but that includes variants...still need 101 unique carts to have a complete licensed + unlicensed NTSC cart set (and I need around 60 more manuals and 200 boxes for a complete CIB set...yup, I have more manuals than carts ). While that's been one of my main goals, it's really been the one that I have been pursuing the least actively, and I just noticed that there's lots of commons in my want list, so I'll be making a post in the B/S/T forum for those soon!
I'm also trying to get all of the PAL exclusives CIB (missing 3), PAL Classic Serie CIB (missing 2), Gluk Video games (missing 6), PAL Codemasters releases (missing 1), Sachens (got 11 so far) and of course NES accessories (I should be somewhere between 450-500 CIBs). I also want to eventually get a complete set of all of the Retrozone and NA homebrew releases, but I'm still missing several special editions that I doubt I'll ever get my hands...so that's going to be hard to achieve I guess.
I am missing one (1!) manual upgrade and I will have a complete US set of Sega Master System games complete with inserts and perfect plastic boxes.
I am missing maybe 10 N64 games to have a complete set but I have been working on sega for so long, I haven't finished it.
CIB NES: I managed to kick most of the impossible to find NES games square in the friggin' nuts and am waiting on an order of "tons" to be put together for me. I don't really want to say how far along I am.
Cart Only NES: At one point, I was down to like 20 carts, now I am back up to like 150 cause I keep robbing them for said CIB collection.

so are you trying to get both a loose NES set as well as a CIB set on NES? Did I read that wrong? I would just try knock out that N64 collection if you are only missing 10 carts.
Oh and what manual do you need to upgrade for your Master System set?
I am about 70 somthing carts away from completing my licensed (loose) NES set. I have a few titles that are $15-$30 bucks missing, but I have all the really hard titles (Flintstones 2 , SE, Buble Bobble 2).
