  • It is possible for two or more players to split credit on a game. Wiz and Morbis actually played those games simultaneously in the same room. Another possibility is for a member to start a game, collect a password, and share that password with someone else who finishes the game. If either of these scenarios plays out, the points are split evenly between the players.
  • Yeah, we get half the points for each game we play co-op, and we both get credit for the game. If we were playing something like World Games for example, whoever finished with a better medal count would take it, but for cooperative games we just split the credit.
  • Pretty good weekend so far. Bases Loaded and Ikari Warriors are two of the biggest obstacles to 100%, so it's great to see them cleared. Here's some updated stats:

  • Beat Karate Champ after coffee as I was needing some NES action.
  • Bionic Commando is finally done!
  • Bad News Baseball is done.

And scary, I'm still wondering about conditions for some of those unlicensed games like Tengen Tetris and Stakk'M. Can we get some of those conditions added to the for-victory list on the first page?
  • Little League Baseball is done.

EDIT: I've also started RBI Baseball 2 as well. I guess I'm on a baseball kick.

Tetris should be beat level 17, since the counter doesn't increase after that. Or maybe it's just get to 17. AdamL's description is kind of confusing.

  • Metal Fighter is done and I am done for the weekend. Next weekend I try to beat more games.
  • No worries, beating Ikari Warriors was more than good enough for one weekend. That's more impressive than beating 20 easy games.

I'm working on Tecmo Baseball now...

    EDIT: Defeated:

    You sir are a badass!!!

That game has been the source of all my NES frustration since childhood. Well played!

Haha, thanks!  It was my first time playing it.  Pretty challenging at first but once I got the hang of it I felt that it got easier.

  • Rescued the true love in Super Robin Hood (Quattro Adventure):

  • I have "Isolated Warrior" coming in the mail. I hope to beat this for the contest. I've only ever played it in emulation and it's been awhile. If someone else gets to it first, that's fine, it's still a fun game.

I also have "Trojan" coming. I got it for $1.99 plus shipping.
  • Haha, rescued one more love in Go Dizzy Go (Quattro Arcade):

  • Mighty Bomb Jack (Completed)

Now, based on that, I would say that any ending should be enough for our purposes, but I'm not in charge, so you'll have to ask Scary...but worst case scenario you at least know what you have to do to get the best one

    Thanks.

I made it to round 16 or 17 and I hit a dead end. I'm not sure if there's a secret exit or I missed too many items and the game doesn't let you progress maybe? I have to dick around with it a little more.

Yes, I'd say any of the endings is fine. But you might as well go for the best one since it's just a couple more rooms. If you made it to 17 then you're already right at the end. It can be hard to know exactly what you need to do in this game, so if you want to know:

This game is downright diabolical with all the hidden stuff. I would've never found the second crystal ball in a million years without that walkthrough. What a great game though... When I was in kindergarten my mom actually beat this game, without any clues or walkthroughs. I talked to her about it over the phone the other day and she remebered alot of the hidden stuff from over 25 years ago! Lol.

  • Jungle Book completed

  • RoboCop 3 gone
  • Yoshi beat (completed level 16 mode B as suggested):

    Gumshuoe done as well

Nice shooting! I beat that one last year and was wondering if I would have to dust off the zapper again...

If you're going to dust off the zapper, do To The Earth. That is by far the hardest zapper game.

  • Working on Little Ninja Brothers, with a buddy. Going to be a while, but it will be done within the year (I hope).

  • Screen says it all

Also, Adventure Island 2 completed as well:

  • Q*Bert gone
  • Adventure Island 3 done as well:

  • Needed a break tonight so I took care of World Games.

Tomorrow I get started on Gauntlet... again.

I love how you just casually mention beating one of the hardest NES games. I know you did it last year as well, but it's still a great achievement. So how much do you abuse the pause button on the later levels?

  • Started up my third Koei game of the year today. Decided to play as a new ruler, just to see if I can make it. So far so good, I've managed to get a few decent officers into my army, although I still haven't determined where exactly my compatibility rating is (although considering the Wei and Shu officers I have recruited are all having loyalty issues, and the single Wu general I have joined with a high loyalty score, I'm guessing it leans toward Wu). It should be interesting, that's for sure.

Also, I've been trying to knock off Family Feud lately, but the closest I got was winning 5 straight games and amassing only 12K or so (only passed the big money round twice, kinda got shafted with shitty questions). I'm starting to duplicate categories though, so maybe soon I'll be able to string together a few wins and get it off both lists.

Oh, and I haven't quit on Carmen Sandiego either, I just haven't had much time to log lately. I can only handle a couple rounds at a time
  • It took me a while, but Slalom is finally done.
