UN Squadron goes down. Funnily enough most of my deaths were on the first few levels

Been playing U.N. Squadron tonight. Love the game, but one thing that irritates the piss out of me with this game is the "danger" bs it pulls. You have a freaking life bar,but if you sustain two hits in a short amount of time you die. Why even have the life bar then?! Ugh. And usually it screws you when you don't need it to...like when you are fighting a boss and you are trying to cycle through your sub weapons. It's tough enough to dodge the bullet hell and then you have to look at your sub weapons to see what you are using. Add in the bs I mentioned earlier and you just want to smash your controller.
Also not a fan of how a few stages pretty much require certain planes, but the "sustaining two quit hits and you die" thing is GARBAGE!
With that said,I'll probably take a few more cracks before giving up for the night. Does it matter if played on easy mode or does it have to be normal? (I'm playing on normal.)
I can actually make it to the last stage on easy but on normal the cave stage is as far as I can get.
Would you believe me if I told you I beat that one on my first try
...in fact the last level only took me several tries. Once I finally solved the damn forest fortress, the rest was relatively easy
And for good measure, I ended the game with 940959 Gil and my playtime was 23:15.
Nice work. Plan on tackling anything else next?
Earthbound, SMRPG, maybe Chrono Trigger. Not sure which yet.
Nice, I'm honestly surprised those are all still on the docket. I'm overdue for another playthrough of Earthbound and SMRPG but would rather defer to other players
Just thought I'd mention that I'm still making a bit of progress on Uncharted Waters: New Horizons. I haven't played in a couple days (been kinda busy), but I've made significant progress up until that point.
I actually got out Uncharted Waters and put it on my short list of games to possibly start in the next month. Doesn't seem that anyone has ever beat it for this thread

I've had new horizons since 08 still haven't got around to play it yet haha
The original is the same as the NES game. It's a trading/exploration sim with some ship-to-ship combat if you so desire (although the endgame requires it, so it's not something that can be 100% ignored). It's fun, but time consuming. I was actually thinking of tackling it before I went with New Horizons because I do enjoy it, however I wanted to knock off another scenario in NH first (I've only ever beaten it once, and there's 6 characters with unique endings and gameplay elements). NH is far more RPG than the original was, although there are a few elements of an RPG there as well. It's definitely not a strategy game though
Addams Family Values. Coulda been a good game, but the incredible amount of back-tracking and fetch quests, confusing overworld and map, rigid controls and attack, dumb password system, and baffling design decisions ruin that. And I was so traumatized by (the similar) Lord of the Rings' glitches that I played through it without turning my SNES off for days

Why are Zelda clones on this platform so terrible? Why is Ocean so terrible? Arrrrrrgh
What is it, a strategy game?
I'm not exactly sure sure I haven't played my copy of either one. I believe they are RPGs, with light sim elements? Or maybe the other way around.

Oh, and good luck beating this without a guide
Mike "the_Wizard_666" just beat Uncharted Waters: New Horizons" at my place, so there's another one done
Any idea what he's working on next?
