htoL#NiQ & Hotaru no Nikki are the same game. Also, you're missing Jak & Daxter Collection.

You are correct sir.  I changed the name and added Jak and Daxter.  I also removed "Limited Edition" from Horatu no Nikki as this is a list for only regular versions

    Thanks!
  • My Vita collection is fairly modest, pretty much made up of 4 Publishers, XSEED, Aksys, NIS, Atlus. Four companies I do like to support, but I really wish I did some research before buying some of these, Criminal Girls and Senran Kagura to be specific.

But the Ys IV Silver Anniversary Edition is amazing.

  • Hey, remember when the 3DS first came out, it was fat and expensive; had a pretty weak launch line-up, without a whole lot on the horizon other than Star Fox and Zelda remakes; and everyone thought the 3D part of it was gimmicky and caused eye-strain. It did dismally and everyone thought the Vita was just going to destroy it. Whatever happened to that, anyways?

Nintendo dropped the price, gave the people who already puchased one a ton of free ambassador games, and started coming out with games like Mario Kart that helped sell the system. Meanwhile Sony decided to go with insanely expensive propreitary memory, a lot of the big system seller games (the ones that were suppose to be AAA gaming on the go which is how Sony was initially advertising the Vita) such as Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified (4/10 IGN and 2.5/10 Gamespot) ended up being huge disappointments, and that Vita 3G model, the 3G couldn't be used to play games online on the go or when your not in range of wifi.

Nice collection! You got some nice LE's there!  Love the cover art from those four publishers too

Some games that were a bit hard to find for my collection were: htoL#NiQ, Putty Squad and Supremacy MMA.

The rest was easier. You can probably find almost every game in the wild now which makes collecting even more fun for the system.

Ya good call.  Online will likely be the way to go to pick up a lot of these games.  It is going to be fun collecting this

  • Rayman Legends is beautiful on the vita.
  • I don't think videogameboxprotectors have vita cases. Does anyone protect them?
  • I only own one game (Ys boxed collector's edition sealed) and have had it for a few years. I still don't own a Vita. However, when the time is right, I am planning to get one, as I am a hugeeeeee PSP collector and will eventually need to move on. The other 2 games I am very interested in (besides Ys) is: Curry God (collector's edition) and Muramasa: Rebirth (collector's edition).
  • Ratchet & Clank Collection physical copy hasn't been released in North America

No. I just keep them at my shelf but I would like to have some protectors for them.

  • Here's a little necro bump for the Vita thread which was inspired by the latest Limited Run games thread. I snagged a Vita right before Christmas and I really think it's a great piece of hardware. We' re kinda at a great point in time already for collecting Vita games. They're dropping in price by me and there really are some Great games for the system. I'm enjoying snagging games here and there!
  • Vita collecting is great but the pickings are slim in Canada from my experience. Very hard to find even more common games for the system. All I usually come across are ports or garbage vita titles, rarely anything decent One point my collection was only comprised of special editions.
  • My vita collection

    Retro city rampage dx

    Unit 13

    Rayman origins

    Nice.

    So far I have:

    -Retro City Rampage DX

    -Dragon's Crown

    -Muramasa Rebirth

    -Child of Light

    -Tearaway

    -Persona 4 Golden

I've downloaded Luftrausers which is a really Really great shooter, Hotline Miami and a few more during the past PSN Flash Sale. I'm hoping to snag the Danganronpa games, I've heard good things about them, and if Bloodstained Does come out on the Vita I'll probably snag it for that as well! There are so many JRPGs on the system that I have no idea where to start on it, well other than Persona 4 which I can't recommend enough if anyone hasn't played it yet.

Yeah I can see that, it certainly has quite a bit different library than the 3DS for sure.  Hear good things about Killzone as well actually too, I'm hoing there's some odd eclectic games out there to be discovered.

  • I went through a vita phase where I was focusing on it. Initially I wanted to end up with a full set, but after seeing nothing but niche japanese games release on it for years I decided the full set wasn't worth it, not enough games were grabbing my interest. Still love the system and grab a game here and there for it though.

Saturday Morning RGB is also coming and i just ordered Dokuro and Resident Evil 2 Revelations from Hong Kong (Ebay). I think i might order some more Japanese/Asian games, that haven't released in USA/EU physically, but have english game play option or are playable otherwise. Hotline Miami and Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours comes to mind. Any other suggestions?
  • We've been trying to collect more Vita games recently. The collector's editions drop in price about a month after release, so that's been nice. Picked up Corpse Party: Blood Drive and Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel boxes recently. I posted a pic in my Finders Keepers thread about some sealed Vita games scored from Goodwill (Target clearance) for $3 each!

    Sealed Vita games $3 each
  • I don't have a Vita, but I do have a PSTV, so I buy Vita games for that.

By far my most favorite is Lost Dimension.

I try to pick up Vita titles for cheap when I find them, regardless if I can play them or not. I plan on getting the system at some point.
  • I just started getting heavy into vita game collecting over the past few months. I have about 85 physical games right now.
  • Not a big collector but I did order the Saturday Morning RPG for it.
  • I'm currently at approximately 70 games for the Vita. Most of those were picked up very cheap from clearance sales though I've also been grabbing the ones with a short print run such as Retro City Rampage, Sat. Morning RPG, Firefly Diaries, etc... At some point in the future if I decide I want a full set if the library remains relatively small, I don't want to be chasing down the hard to find titles if I can avoid it.
  • I think it's time to bump my own thread 3.5 years later. I ended up selling off my vita games a couple of years ago to pay for my first switch. Now I'm getting the itch again.....and time to start looking for some JRPgs.

Did any of you guys keep the Vita collecting going?
