I wasn't going to post this, but the recent revival of the thread has convinced me. Also, in a week I won't have the full set anymore!
14 gold, 3 silver, and 1 technicality as crossbow training is not able to be graded, but it is there sealed and all. If anyone has the 3 I need in gold, PM me!
I used to be a VGA collector awhile back and it's just funny seeing how they obviously changed their grading criteria to generate more $$$. Getting a 90 had to be much easier back in the day. I used to see to see 90s a lot more and even owned a few. So many 85/85+ now...

No, I don't think there's been any significant change since the time they started using the "plus" grades. Its all human judgement so some slightly harder or slight softer criteria are inescapable over time for any grading service, but its pretty minimal. For the most part a 90 then is a 90 now.
Earlier on though, people just had more dead mint raw games to submit (since the grading co was new). Most people submit their best stuff first. What happens when they've already graded all their best games? Lower grades, that's what I remember having a phone conversation with Tom Derby where he predicted this would happen with games as he had already seen it happen with toys.
Got a submission back today. Was the first time I was happy with the grades . I knew Mensa would be a gold. The other 2 were iffy if they were reseals or not since they didnt have the barcode sticker like most ps2 games. Just happy they werent deemed to be so (and the grades arent too bad, though I thought quarantine looked better than outbreak personally).
