Anyone done the Microsoft Live Search cashback program? Does it work?

Im going to make a purchase and saw it was eligible for the program and wanted to see if its a good idea from people I can trust. Its going to be a $600 purchase so how much should I get back? Any tricks to getting the most out of it? Thanks.

    Yes, it works. I used it for some bullion purchases back when it offered a 30% on eBay BIN.


    EDIT to add:  The amount you get back is going to depend on the current offer from MS CashBack.  The percentage changes daily, but is locked in when you make the purchase.

    The most important thing is to follow the instructions on how to actually get the cash back.

    I found out its at 8% right now for what I want. Should I wait around and see if it goes up?

    It fluctuates between 5% and 35% for various things. But most things never seem to exceed 10%, I think.



    Personally, I would suggest looking at the Fatwallet threads on the subject. They tend to track how things have increased and decreased and you can get a feel for what the best deal is likely to be.

    It might only be valid for US residents. Go to Live.com and click the link to the CashBack program.



    Basically MS has a bunch of affiliates that will give you automatic (and delayed) rebates as long as you find the link through Live.com.
