So, my grandfather just died...

I'm sure that some of you remember the topic I made on here asking for donation funds for his inevitable funeral. Well, I still don't have all of the money (missing roughly $975), but that's alright. My family and I found a manageable way in which to pay the rest of the expenses.

Anyway, he died at the hospital a few hours ago. What pisses me off is, the hospital in question didn't even call us. Given that they are doctors, they should have found obvious signs of his deterioriating health, and called us accordingly. He had to die alone.

So yeah, just wanted to share that with the community of NintendoAGE.

    Terribly sorry Kori. I never met my granddad's, and my grandma passed away 2 years ago. My current grandma is very sick.

    What the doctors did is horrible, and I feel terrible for him.

    Thats never easy, the day I have to deal with that scares the living hell out of me! Even if you wernt there with him, Im sure he knew how much you loved him and in that sense you were with him.

    Sorry for your loss. Losing anyone you are close to is never an easy period in your life. I still haven't recovered from my pappaw dieing and that was over 10 years ago. Stay strong sir.

    This is one of those things that is inevitable in life. I remember when my grandma died 6 years ago, it was the worst thing that happened that side of my family. She was the glue that basically held us all together. Dying alone sounds pretty terrible, I remember when she died, we did get notice, and I was there, but I couldn't bear to be in the same room as her as she passed on to the next existence.

    Im sorry about your grandfather, 4 months ago my grandfather died of Brain Cancer we were very close!

    sorry to hear about your grandpa, my grandpa on my dads side passed away a year or two ago about 10 days before my birthday, and both grandparents on my moms side passed away before him, but that's a long story

    That sucks bad. A few years ago my gramps died of cancer. When it was very apparent that he didn't have much time left, he left the hospital and came home so he could be with family. Yeah, maybe he would have lived (suffered) for a few more days if he hadn't, but at least my family was able to be with him in his last hours. Sadly, I was in Norfolk in the Navy and couldn't leave until after he had passed. It is a crappy part of life and try to remember the good times with him. In time, the memories will be very enjoyable, even if they just seem painful right now.
