so i basically have every licensed and unlicensed game and manual all have a mint black sleeve, 98% of the stuff is mint, there are maby 5 games i would replace and 30 manuals i would replace.

  • How much you want? image
  • Josh since you have Stadium Events with Manual why not just sell that and get a big chunk for one thing before selling it all?
  • ^^^ Agreed. Selling the Stadium Events and manual should provide about a month's worth of expenses, at least.

If you wanted to sell the rest to free up capital, then the initial sale easily gives you enough cushion to be a full-time eBay-er for a month while you liquidate the rest.

We all know that parting it out makes the most money, and that would give you the cushion you need to do it.
  • if you part it out you would get good money

and i know the NA members would help you

  • i would hate to break this up. and deffinatly dont want to take the time to part it out right now!

i mean i dont really need a months rent right now or anything, but with no work being around i dont want to get caught up with bills in 6 months and have to struggle to sell this stuff quickly for less than its worth!
  • Dibs on the SE manual image Best idea may be to sell off just the top items, then you at least have time to decide if you want to sell off more. That way if you do have to sell off quickly later then the items where dumping quickly won't get full value will already be gone.
  • I literally wanted to know how much you wanted. I wasn't kidding.
  • well i didnt really have a # in mind witch is why i was asking for imput, you can pm me if you want to discuss this..
  • Bunny reinforces a good point. I would bet that more than 75% of your collection value is contained in less than 5% of the items. Getting those out there in a timely fashion, when you're not desperate will ultimately give the most benefit for your time involved.
  • iwould look at it this way 776 carts averaged out to 10 each would be seven thousand seventy six dollars. 776 manuals averaged out a 5.00 would be about 3500 dollars then 3 thousand for stadium events and manual so i would say 12.500.00 easy
  • hope your keeping mario kart
  • ^^ of course ill be keeping my wii and mariokart. lol and thanks for the dollar estimate, does everyone feel thats a good ballpark figure???

also if i do get some work coming in very soon i will not be selling anything, im not trying to dump collecting or anything. i just would rather sell off than spend all the money i do have saved up.

so im doing everything i can to try and scrape up a few jobs, i really dont need too much to tide me over, jusy one or two descent roofs per month to keep bills paid.
  • Good luck.

My advice would still be to liquidate the Stadium Events cart and manual. That is a lot of capital to have tied up in a pair of relatively fragile collectibles, and personally I don't think the money will be chasing them forever. Sell it while it's hot.
  • But it isn't hot right now. Cart fetched 1K last night and that was because the seller was bumping up the auction. At least from what I read.
  • josh, definitely dont sell it together, as you will not get a good price on it. sell the big ticket items separately to scrape up a nice chunk of cash. if work picks up, you wont have to sell more. if it doesnt pick up, you can continue to part out a few of the remaining medium / higher items (mega mans, lolos, dragon warriors, etc). then if it gets really bad, you can sell the remaining items in 1 big bulk lot to a certain member on here who would give you a nice deal on them. but anyway, breaking the big items out from the rest is definitely where you should start! good luck, dude!
