Gaaah tooth pain!
So a little over a week ago, I went in for some dental work on a molar that a chunk had fallen off of about a year ago. I thought I'd need a root canal, but the doctor cleaned it up and said it hadn't reached the root, so all I needed was a filling.
Now the tooth is KILLING ME. I'd never really had problems with it before, except for gum agitation sometimes. Now it's really sensitive to cold, and about three or four times a day decides to hurt like absolute hell for a half hour or so for no reason. I can feel it all the way down in my jaw.
No real point in this post other then to complain. I hurts. Tooth pain is the worst.

I just had a root canal finished up yesterday from an abscessed tooth..
It was not fun.. Feeling much better today though.. Alot less money in my pocket though.. Teeth are expensive.. I say F*** em.. I'll just get dentures.. Just kidding.
Good Luck!!!
And my dentist is on vacation to watch his nephew graduate.
to help with the cold food or hot food idea maybe try some sensodyne toothpaste it works pretty good for me I sometimes have sensitive teeth and this helps.
Yeah, I gotta get me some of that.
So far I've noticed if I take some advil right when it starts to hurt, it does a pretty good job of cutting it off. Ambosal or whatever it's called don't do jack though. Which makes me worry, since that means it's deep down pain...
Colgate also makes a toothpaste for sensitive teeth and it works okay.. but not as good as sensodyne..
There's no excuse for not taking care of your teeth. I didn't have insurance for a couple months one time, so I went to the Dental school aorund here, $5 for a cleaning.
Jared, dental school is okay for cleanings.. but my wife had some fillings done there and they messed her teeth up worse.. after we got married and she got on my insurance, she had to have 17 crowns done because everything the dental school did was getting worse and worse..
Just be careful when going to a dental school for anything other then a routine cleaning.
