I really dig BOC and Heep. On the BOC front, Heaven Forbid is such a killer album! On the Heep side of things, I'm really into Look at Yourself, their debut and Sweet Freedom. It's delicious.

Oh hell yes. BOC is one of the most underrated bands out there. Their music is so, so good. I love all their albums, but those I listed include my favourite songs, such as Godzilla, Mirrors, In Thee and Harvest Moon.
And Heep, oh Heep. I love their music. Lady in Black is easily in my top 3 favourite musics of all time. Can't get enough of those two.

This past summer I went to see BOC open for Deep Purple. I paid ten bucks at the door, got to see them play a terrific set for 45 minutes, then I split. It was so fun.

You are a bloody lucky one.
I hope that next time I go to the US, I end up visiting a city at a time they are touring there. I doubt I will have the chance to see them play here in Brazil.

Just in case you haven't seen it, here's a music video supporting Buck Dharma's very excellent 1982 solo album, Flat Out. Good stuff.
My namesake. Jordan ruddess did a great cover, check it out.
Yeah that whole album is sweet, have listened to it before but it has been a few years.
As much of a proggie as I am, ELP and that particular record never clicked with me.
I think a lot of the reason is that it isn't a full band....if Keith couldn't play 8 keyboards at once and a wall of effects they wouldn't fill out nicely at all.
I mean...Greg Lake switches between guitar and bass for god sakes hahaha.

It just never sounded up to par with anything that Yes, Gentle Giant, and King Crimson were already doing at that period.
12. Stone Temple Pilots - Tiny Music (Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop) (1996)
These two albums don't get enough love, and I applaud you for picking them. They're my favorite from these respective bands also.
Yeah I love em! Not that Dookie and Purple aren't good albums, they definitely are, but I enjoy the diversity of both albums a lot more. Trippin on a Hole in a Paper Heart is probably my favorite STP song too.

It really isn't to be honest... it doesn't have that uplifting kind of feel to it like some of the other guys do...
ELP is strictly just showing off chops....then again they were a supergroup.
