Most reputable place to buy Everdrives?
Thinking about picking up a few Everdrives for NES, SNES, N64, Genesis and Turbografx. Where would you recommend i go for these? Also, wheres a good place to get roms for them? I have never downloaded an emulator or rom or anything so im hoping you guys can educate me.
Also, and this may be a long shot but is there anyone here who would be willing to help load roms on the everdrives? Like if you already have a library built up? I dont have a home pc so if i were to go about this myself i would have to do it all on my girlfriends pc. Dont know if anyones willing to help out but if so send me a pm(If this is agaisnt the rules here, let me know and i'll delete this).

Yep buy from SAG. I did board only and Frankensteined a donor shell to work with a rough metal file. Immediately wished I had bought their case haha.
You get better after you do a few.
And a few of them have USB connections, so that's another hole you have to cut out. Plus the SD2SNES has a few LEDS, so I have to drill out small holes for those.
I have every Everdrive except for the Game Gear Everdrive. I've purchase all of them through Stone Age Gamer. I prefer SAG because they are in the US, so the shipping is quicker, and I don't have to worry about it possibly getting held up in customs (I've heard many horror stories of packages getting lost as they make their way around the world). They sometimes offer discounts, so keep an eye on their website. Make sure you understand what you are ordering. SAG offers a lot of options including deluxe models which can be a lot more expensive. If you have the money for it, the deluxe models are pretty nice. However, with the exception of the Turbo Everdrive, I've always ordered the "board only" to keep the cost down. If you order the "board only" they are no more expensive then any other site that sells Everdrives. I make my own carts out of cheap donor carts and cut out my own SD card slots and make my own labels.
Thanks! I remember checking out Stone Age Gamer before! I'll have to give em another look! I don't think I'd be up for making my own carts buy that's pretty sweet!

If you aren't in a hurry, my best recommendation is to wait until after Thanksgiving. They tend to offer "Black Friday" sales and those tend to be their best deals. Those sales coincide with Krikzz's "Black Friday" sales that he does every year (even though he lives in Ukraine).

That sounds like a good idea! Im mainly looking to get a Turbo Everdrive right away and the rest later so I could probably wait till then.
One more recommendation. Make sure you understand the differences between the different versions (for example: Everdrive 64 v2 vs. v3 or Super Everdrive vs SN2SNES). The prices differences can be pretty significant and if you don't need the extra features, you can save a lot of money with the cheaper version. I personally recommend getting the most recent version, but even if you get the cheaper one, you are still getting a fantastic product.
Yeah, thanks for the info, I'll have to check em all out! Do you know if the Turbo one works in the Turbo Express and if it allows for PC Engine games to be played on it?

I don't have a Turbo Express, but I've been told that it will work on it just fine.
It should work fine in any region console with any region ROM. There is a switch on the ED that allows for TG16 or PCE. The switch is for the region of the console you have it in. Once it's in the console with the correct switch setting, you can play any region ROM with no issue. It will also play Super Grafx ROMs as long as you are using an actual Super Grafx.

The Turbo Everdrive was my first one as well and it got me hooked.

Awesome! I literally just got a Turbo Express! I've had a regular turbografx for about a year and have been wanting one of these Everdrives since I got it. Don't have any mods done so I should be ok! Was thinking about having the express modded tho!

I have a modded TE (3.5" screen) with an everdrive and it will play all PC-Engine and US Turbo games if you set the region switch on the ED to "TG16".

Nice! That's actually what I'm looking to have done to mine, just sent Keith Courage a message over on PCEngineFX did he do yours? If so, what does he normally charge to have it done?

+1; I saved $39 USD last Fall on an SD2SNES, which is a 20% discount. It took over a month to get the package by mail though, and the red shell that came with it did not fit my SNES very well, I had to remove the locking mechanism and I need to push really hard or it randomly freezes on most games or just put the PCB in the SNES slot, so keep that in mind.
