Darksol, that is such a crock of shit. Some member of sealedgameheaven decided to open a VGA case and then claim it had a differnet game in it? Gimme a frickin' break. I don't even have to talk about how sketchy and hard to belive that sounds, even with pictures like Blarky said.
You failed to mention that all the VGA hatred on that sight stems from the fact that some of the morons over at that sight FAILED HORRIBLY at starting their own grading service. hmmmmmm, i wonder if those flakes are bitter?
Your arguments against VGA have so many holes in them it is not even funny, not to mention all the 'proof' you point to is a fucking joke that put even more holes in your argument.
I remember feeling bad for that guy at sealedgameheaven. They were really offering the bargain-bin equivalent to what VGA does. Also, they were using standard Alpha cases...not exactly the top-of-the-line in impregnable.
I honestly don't care eitherway about VGA. Use em if ya want...I choose not to.
I think 25$ is overpriced, I think they can look nice, but $15 for an acrylic case is even high for me. If the cases were cheaper, like $3-$5 I might use some to keep some of my nicer games in.
I own 1 VGA graded game, and only have it cause it was the only complete copy I could find and I would have paid the same price for a CIB. If I had the option of buying it for $25 less though without a case and grade, I would have easily taken that option.

I guess interchange of ideas on the topic isn't what he really wants though, apparently just dropping a link and saying "VGA is ****" is enough to completely defend his idea of the company. Actually, this is inflammatory (read: flaming) and won't fly on most civil, adult boards.

If you have a position, defend it. Linking to other old discussions elsewhere is fine for a bibliography, but simply citing sources never won points in any debate. And using expletives to state your case is that tactic of an infant.

very very nice display... to stay on topic, i would never pay somebody money to do this crap, to each their own, i would rather spend the money else where. I can ALMOST see why a sealed collector would want this, but is it really going to save you money in the end if you buy tons of these? i've never looked into it but i'm assuming these carry a premium. bah, if they were being sent to a place like nintendo or a well known reputable company and it was only like 5-10 a piece i could see this being useful... i guess it just depends on the collector/wallet size of said collector... would be nice proving point on your higher priced games (read as > 200+), but in my opinion just because it is graded would never be a point for me to spend more money, just validation that it is real by hopefully somebody who knows more about the stuff than i do
Well, Darksol has a bit of a reputation around here that your 7 years of collecting experience wouldn't reveal to you. He has been known to scoff at people hard earned collections when it comes to VGA grading. Myself, I see no harm in VGA, and I don't care what Darksol thinks of that. He can even tell me I'm screwed in the head for thinking they're an appropriate 3rd party judge of condition, but what ever. I like Darksol as an extreme reference for sealed games.
