Thinking of doing a new website

Well, I learned about Geocities closing "later this year" and that was where my old site was for a long time.

Anyway, I can move on and do up something different.  I'd probably just talk about some games and music that I've done.  Maybe have a forum, though I don't know about that yet.

Who are some good hosts and what do domain names run these days?
I was also thinking of signing up for Adsense to help pay for stuff.

  • I'm trying to drum up some business for a company I want to work for...

EDIT: oh yea.  11 bucks a month for 1 gig memory and 25 gig bandwidth.

I don't care much for free webhosts. I usually just trust something like Godaddy or asmallorange for something decent. For a forum though, I recommend http://ipbfree.com , and not just because I own their official mod site.
  • Aside from Geocities, I've used Maxpages and Freewebs. I don't particularly like Maxpages, nor do I see a lot of websites hosted on it. Freewebs is decent though, IMO.
  • Oh yeah, and as for a forum, I like both invisionfree and Zetaboards.
  • I have used zoomshare.com for years to host my site. It is totally free and is very reliable.

Pass.  No. No. No! NO! NO!!!
I used IF for 3-4 years.  I just found IPBFree better.
