  • This game is getin hard, the chaleges are hard 2, find 5 ways to earn stars... I can barley find 2 ways on most guys
  • Up to Super Macho Man so far....just need to figure out my timing on him.
  • I got to Mr. Sandman before I had to go to work yesterday. I tried him once, just out of curiosity, and he STOMPED me. Bad.
  • This game is awesome!!! I'm at Bald bull right now, and it's fun stomping people in head to head mode
  • I beat mr sandman, took a few days, but once u learn the rythem it's a wrap, now I'm defending it, and its so hard, glass joe ko'ed me lol
  • Yea, Mr. Sandman is a tough son of a bitch....I have his moves down....just need to focus more on the timing and getting hit by those side punches.
  • I practiced on the Mr. Sandman hologram and found a fairly easy way to beat him, so now I am defending my title... ...And Glass Joe beat me?! I'm gonna go practice more on that now. I REALLY like that going through the first time is only half the game. Defending your title, the characters are tougher, have all new patterns, and even all new little still screen movies before the fight! They didn't half-ass it at all.

Now I've just gotta figure out how to knock that helmet off Joe's head...
  • I played it at Gamestop ( I don't own a Wii)and thought the controlls with the Wiimote and nunchuck  was a little sluggish. Maybe if I use the Wiimote sideways like the NES, it would work better.
  • You don't need to knock off joes helmet to bat him, jus keep hitin the body, I jus beat king hipo (defending) I don't know how to knock that shit off his stomache, so I just dodged all his punches and landed a few on his face and won by decision, very tuff game, I love it!

I figured out if you star punch Glass Joe his helmet flies up, and before it comes back down you can land some punches on his face. (I just saw a translation of what he says between rounds in TD that made me lol... "My head doesn't hurt! ...But my gut is killing me!"

I just got up to King Hippo. When he opens his mouth, clock him in it, and he should stand slightly to one side. Hit that side and it starts to break the tape away that holds the manhole cover.
  • well i bought this game 2 days ago...

so far i am majorly dissappointed with it, it aomost flat out sucks! its like they designed it for 6 year olds to play..

i would rather spend $50 on the nes version. lol

I felt that way at first too, but give it a chance.   The more you play it the better it gets.     Its starting to win me over and I could see loving it by the time I am done.
  • the best part is you just knnnooooowww that there will be a sequel now that the franchise is rebooted. Probably many sequels... with many new fighters. This will be a lot of fun not only now but years ahead

I think your translator machine is malfunctioning.   You might want to get that looked at image
  • Just got past king hippo defending, anyone beat the defend your title mode yet?, my friend says if you get 100 losses, you receive a protective helmet!! he said he's too afraid to use it, fearing getting docked achievements
  • I'm getting close to beating title defense... I'm up to Sodapop. The man is a MONSTER. I'm also ticked off about my fight with Aran Ryan. I was ONE PUNCH away from KO'ing his coked-up ass before time ran out and I won by decision. I think I've actually won MOST of my TD fights on decision.

And yeah, if you get beat down 100 times, you get a protective helmet, Glass Joe style. I don't know if you get to choose to wear it or not before fights though. And after Title Defense mode you enter a mode called Last Stand, where once you lose three fights, the game is over. OVER over. Little Mac retires, and you see the ending of the game. After that, the only thing you can do is work on your exhibition challenges. BUT, it also unlocks one last NEW fighter to challenge, who's a Nintendo gaming staple. I won't spoil who it is for people who don't want to know though. image

Man, I am NOT getting past Soda. He's just too quick to get a read on and dodge the right way...

Heh, monkey, no... But definitely a big ape on Steve Wiebe's back, if you get my meaning. image

  • the more I play this the more I like it! wasn't sure what to think at first but this is really growing on me
  • I'm at soda pop now in TD mode, man he's a Bee atch, how do you get him to stop regaining his health?

I read on a website that after TD mode, and after last stand mode, there is Champions mode, havent heard anything else about it though.

Do you get to fight the "final fighter" right after you beat TD mode?

also, in last stand mode, if you only get 3 losses and your done, you can still go back and start at the beginning of that mode right?
  • Punch Soda's liquor bottle before he drinks it. Watch out though, it makes him very upset. image And I still haven't beaten him. I don't know how ANYBODY beats him. He doesn't really have a pattern!

I haven't heard anything about a Champions mode. From all I know, after TD you go in to Last Stand, and you get three fights. That's it. You can't restart it. After you lose your third fight, you see the end of the game, and you can't go back to Last Stand mode. The "final fighter" is usually the fight you have after losing one, I believe. After Last Stand is over, all you can do on that save is exhibition mode.

    Practice.  You'll get it.

Have you beaten him on Title Defense? I could use some pointers. He's just so fast!
  • I have pointers!!, I beat him yesterday, he has a very tricky pattern, successfully dodge 1 of his punches and you can hit him twice, dodge another and hit him 3 times, dodge again for 4 times, etc, I got him up to hitting him 23 times in a row, his energy drains super fast. It's awesome when you sync this and beat him!
  • I haven't had much time to play so I am still on mr sandman (non-TD) but I'm having a blast playing this. The first couple fights I thought this game was going to blow!
  • I'm on Sandman as well, but have only had time to fight him once. I had fun losing to Supermacho Man a ton of times because everything he said and did was funny to me. 28, yea, right.
