Factory Sealed Future?

What everybodies crystal ball on sealed stuff? There so mass produced Its hard to tell how many are being stuffed into closets. I believe modern games will help to bring alot of new collectors into sealed games. I've gotten lots of emails on my games asking about VGA.

  • Long term who knows. In the next few years I believe prices will definitely go up as the economy recovers and people have more money to spend on discretionary purchases (like video games). I know I haven't bought as much as I'd like because I'm a bit nervous about my job. But I do think in the long term prices on the main franchise games will hold up...it's all about supply and demand and supply certainly isn't increasing (unless another Dov shows up).
  • Depends on the time period. I think NES has about topped out but I believe SNES/SEGA and N64 are on the rise. As the time period hits their mid 20's-30's they start to collect. It will be a good indicator of the whole industry if NES continues to go up and up and up like it has been.
  • well I think this is the 20th time we've done this thread, lol

EDIT:  sorry jofinn I hope that didn't sound rude... didn't mean anything by it, the topic just comes up a lot

  • Personally I think all generations of FS games will be worthless in the future so you guys might as well send em all my way.  I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands. You don't need worthless games cluttering up the house afterall.
  • Yeah your right Dan. I can remember starting a similar topic atleast once. image
  • I don't know about the future but I make sure that the money I spent on the expensive stuff are that I could afford to loose and not really counting on selling to get back the same price I bought at.image
