Ya I think I'll pick up the special edition, probably a regular one too.  One of those odd games that has limited print run written all over it

  • Nba 2k13 has really shot up in price. Ive only seen it around a couple of times. It was due. Fifa 13 also trending up.

I think this is going to be a reoccuring trend with a lot of games from the first couple years of the console. There are games I NEVER see. I know I live in a relatively small place, but games like Kitty Kruisers, Warriors, Funky Barn, Turbo, and Planes F/R etc. are very few and far between. I think once the console starts getting more collectors behind it a lot of these games are gonna shoot up. Even games like Takken and Deus Ex are not common in my opinion. 1st party titles, LEGO games (not in cluding LEGO City Undercover), and Just Dance games are the ones I see regularly over and over.

I was able to knock a couple more off the list tonight. Walmart had Disney Just Dance 2 for $15 and Just Dance 2016 for $20. TRU had the Charger Starter Pack for $29 down from $75. I don't really collect those kits, but I couldn't pass it up for that price brand new.

no doubt. good luck finding these in the future as well

    Angry Birds Trilogy

    Barbie Dreamhouse Party

    Fast & Furious Showdown

    Fifa 13

    Hot Wheels

    NBA 2k13

    Rapala Pro Bass Fishing

    Sniper Elite

    Wii Sports Club

Not seeing wonderful 101 much anymore either. Tank tank tank used to be uncommon till gamestop reprinted it. Havent seen them do that to another title. Probably because it backfired. The only reason it was getting 30+ was because it was difficult to find. Not because it was good.

I agree with the ones you mentioned as well

    Hello Kitty Kruisers

    Warriors Orochi

    Funky Barn

    Disney Planes Fire and Rescue

    Turbo Super Stunt Squad

For variant collectors Id add Just dance 2016 Gold Edition to the list. Thatll be pretty uncommon, and all of the infinity and skylanders starter packs will probably be pretty hard to track down once the system is completely phased out. You dont even see anything before superchargers in stores really now.

Deus Ex is a surplus sealed title. Alot of copies selling sealed in the 15-20 range. Sealed vs opened not really a price difference. Dont see it around much but there is a bunch of sealed stock online for that one.

Another one would be Phineas and Ferb. Going to be more and more titles that are at the very least uncommon. Even some First Party games are uncommon around here like Game and Wario, Wii Sports Resort, etc... Just glad I jumped on the clearance sales ahead of the curve.

  • Yeah, Deus Ex and Need For Speed seem to be in the same boat. Never see them around, but easy enough to find online. So strange how that works. It's to the point now that when I get to the pawnshop or EB Games, titles that are harder to come by instantly catch my eye. Many of the ones you listed.

yeah phineas and ferb Ive seen once I think. I already had it from a gamestop online order a long time ago that I luckily got in a real case with manual. One of the few.

holy crap. Hadnt looked that one up in awhile. Its gone up significantly. I think wii u collecting will be big since the set will be small and feel attainable. Alot of the games though will be difficult to acquire at that point.
  • I agree with all the games you guys are saying. The stores here have nothing outside of newer first party titles and some super common random games like ZombiU, Your Shape, maybe the Just Dance and LEGO games. Most titles can be found online though but a few are becoming trickier to get. Good luck to anyone who hasn't started yet
  • Oh and don't forget wipeout 3, I don't think I've ever seen a copy of that
  • I've seen a few copies of Wipeout 3, but not for a while. I still need Wipeout: Create & Crash. I haven't seen it for a good price yet. I also saw a 'brand new' copy of phineas and ferb at EB Games a few months ago. I didn't buy it because it wasn't sealed and was still $30 or something. Weird that they only got one copy out of no where though.

Luigi U is a little more common, but also quite sought after. I could see that getting pricey down the road. Plus, it being one of the few physical games built around Luigi also brings a bit more attention to it. Kinda like Luigi Mansion which I see way more often, but still commands a decent price.
  • Wii U sections are shrinking in my area, reduced to about a dozen titles per store. I've got 31 Wii U games for the moment but I'm not aiming for a full set.

    edit : Yet...

Ugghhh...Wipeout Create and Crash just won't seem to drop. One I still need as well. Still seem to be a decent number of copies available online. Hopefully it will drop soon. I was lucky to get Wipeout 3 when Best Buy cleared them out for super cheap (sub $10 with GCU I believe).

Haha... exactly the same for me. I actually did pretty well when Target closed. I was able to grab a number of titles the day everything hit 60% off or whatever. I also bought a number of 3DS's and two Wii minis. I've since traded or sold most of it, but they had some OK deals. I miss Target. Wasn't the best, but they would move stock fast and they had that section that was basically liquidated games. Not sure if that's the norm in the States, but everything around here seems to stay pretty high in price and then suddenly vanish overnight.

  • I got wipeout 3 new on the bay for 13 shipped. Create and crash new for the same. Friend bought another about the same price. I gave him the sealed one and i kept his complete one. I only get sealed when its the cheapest. I plan on opening most games that i have sealed except games like just dance lol.

but yeah i see wipeout create and crash occassionaly. But i rarely ever see wipeout 3 anywhere.

im waiting for a price drop on these dumbass monster high games. I have seen the newer one for 17 sealed and the 13 wishes one for 19. Im not spending that much for those 2.

Yea, it's the same in the states for Target. They definitely put stuff on Clearance quicker and cheaper than a lot of retailers. Unfortunately, I no longer have a Target close by after I moved   Still able to get a few deals though from friends picking stuff up, but not as much as I'd like.

Ive had the best luck with walmart preowned. Its freaking great sometimes. They only took games in that were complete or old new stock they mark as preowned that was resealed.

Yea, the quality is really good. Unfortunately, the selection at my store has been really poor for some time

  • Mine never sold any. Im talking about online
  • I think I need a big push on a lot of these random games. There are too many that will really start to disappear, even online.

I made a huge push. Found a couple random deals on estarland and another couple on walmart and ebay. Down to 10 to go as the set is now.

Ahhh...Yea, I have gotten a couple games online (ship to store), but I don't recall any Wii U games.

I'm trying to hold out on the last handful I need to complete the set until I get a good price. I may have to bite the bullet on a few though as I don't want them to start increasing. Currently at 128 unique Wii U titles.

They have them on there at all times New and used for some decent deals sometimes. Right now they still have

epic mickey 2  new for 6.50

    zombie u used for 6.88

batman arkham origins new for 10.77

mario tennis ultra smash used for 24.88

need for speed most wanted u  New for 12.53 (says wii in the title but picture is wiiu and platform under details says wii u)

sometimes theyll have multiple prices and listings of a game. You have to keep searching through it. They are so unorganized. Another company handles some of it on there and sometimes has separate listings..

you get free shipping with 50 dollar purchase. They have a ton of cheap ps3/xbox 360 games to pad a cart full of solid stuff. I got GTA V for 11.88 lol.

They had a lot more cheap ones  a couple weeks ago. I got splinter cell new for 8. I got the barbie puppy rescue complete used for 4.88 total and lego the movie new  for 6.88. They raised that one to 11.88 which actually still is decent for barbie and lego the movie raised to 19.96 for some reason. Raised alot of games to 15-20. I havent gotten a used game in a generic case from them yet. I dont think they took them in unless they were complete.

Another place worth keeping an eye on is Amazon Warehouse Deals. I've had pretty good luck with multiple consoles.

Ive had horrendous luck with them. Out of atleast 10 games ordered from them between me and a friend, 9 have arrived with something wrong with them. My Call of Duty ghosts came in so beat up (By them, not shipping) I had to send it back. Artwork destroyed. Case destroyed. chunks of plastic case missing(not from shipping) Described as Very Good condition. They sent my friend a fake artwork rapala. My fifa arrived in crap condition that I had to find a replacement case for. My lego marvel super heroes came with a cut spine all the way through the artwork that ran down the nearly whole spine.

Estarland is always quality and you know what you are getting. Walmart though is the best so far. Tons of stuff ordered from them so far and all perfect.

need for speed most wanted u  New for 12.53 (says wii in the title but picture is wiiu and platform under details says wii u)

sometimes theyll have multiple prices and listings of a game.

It may just be where I've ordered so much from from them I know which descriptions to look for. I still get the occasional dud, but I've gotten things like Super Metroid CiB for $50 along with newer stuff. You do have to watch closely though. Even Very Good and Like New can be loose depending on the descriptions.

Edit: I'd also add that the quality there definitely seems cyclic.
  • Crap I just placed my first order with Amazon and I hope it is ok. It's all New stuff so maybe I'll have better luck.

amazon is fine. Amazon warehous deals inc. is the seller that Ive had bad luck with . Just a subdivision of amazon. warehouse deals is the one I believe that gets alot of stuff in subpar condition and sells them as used cheaper.

  • Changed the title of the thread to a more general title to reflect the ongoing discussion. My collection is still moving along. Not complete anymore. I'm missing 2 unique titles still and some other variants. There are two more possible variants I saw on Facebook that I'll probably be adding to my tracker once I verify them.
