Well, Dr. Robbie's NES Price Guide and Rarity List Ver. 3.0 is just about done...

So, not sure how many people here know this, but I use to make and print an NES guide that I sold on eBay last year and the year before. It was never too big, would just sell around 100 copies or so. And really, I didn't make much money on them factoring in the cost of ink and setting my printer ablaze, so it wasn't so much about profit. If you factor in the time, it definitely wasn't about profit. Anywho, I had a few people that purchased my guide asking about a new one around January. I kept telling them I was done making it for awhile, but I got a few more askers, so I decided to remake my guide for the forth time. I've been working on it since then, late January or so, and have just about got it done.

As of right now, It looks like its going to be about 84 pages long, lists over 1,000 NES games, have 2 articles in it, have variant lists for both 3/5 screw variants and black/blue cartridge variants for Color Dreams , Wisdom Tree, and Bunch games (with Dain's permission), and have completely updated prices and rarities (believe me, that was the hard part - about 4 months worth of watching games on eBay). The guide will be printed on thick paper, with a color cover and black/white for the guts. I think it should look good. Right now, I'm just waiting on a few tweaks and ordering ink and paper, before the long process of making them.

Just a heads up for anyone who may want one. I'll probably be selling them for $20 on eBay and on here for cheaper (depending on the price of ink and paper and binding and such). Hopefully will be done by the end of this month.

Wish me luck!

  • Ooo, nice. I think I'd like one myself. image Are the games going to have check boxes next to them for the ones you've got? image
  • Yeah if this was to be used as a check list as well I would be interested, it may convince me to collect variants.
  • i just put checks next to them, but i'm working on something like that image
  • does it include pal games? if so count me in.
