How's that work?  I make trips from Bozeman to Missoula here and there, and would be interested in stopping by

  • An update to the OP. Video Games Then and Now in Norridge is not closed down.
  • There's Gamer's Spot in Hatillo, PR
  • There are actually 2 The Gaming Zone's in Tempe. Not connected either. They both have arcade machines too.
  • Boswer's Basement Taunton, Massachusetts

  • Both Gamers and GA Game Shop have closed down in Carrollton, GA within the last month. Gamers in Villa Rica is still going.
  • Cloud Gaming has closed with no warning, owners are nowhere to be found. I heard thy left a big rent debt. They haven't updated their FB page since January 2.
  • Super Gator Gamz in Newnan, GA closed down suddenly yesterday. In barely a month all three of the closest indie/retro game stores have closed down with zero warning. It's a conspiracy, I tell ya! You'd think that after each closure the remaining stores would stick it out a bit longer to see if their fortunes changed with less competition, but: NOPE.

I wish I could have got there in time to nab the stuff from their display case (Virtual Boy, Famicom, Nomad, etc) but I didn't even hear about it until the very end of their last day (yesterday). I barely got what I got because they had people packing everything in boxes and loading up faster than I could browse. It wasn't like everything was on crazy clearance or anything (20% off though most stuff was originally 10-20% over market price).

This hurts. I know they were burglarized a couple months ago and I'm sure it contributed. I wish I could find the perps and drag them through the mud.

Gator Gamez at the West GA Fleamarket, Gamers in Villa Rica, GA, and Zero Gravity Games in Fayetteville, GA are still running as far as I can tell.
  • The Cloud Gaming staff will only attend special events like comic cons and sell their merch there. No plans to reopen a brick and mortar store.
  • Suggested edit:

Game King is still in Lexington KY, but you have it crossed out.

  • Retro Game Bros in Scarborough, Ontario

Power Up Gaming in Barrie, Ontario
  • We have 3 new game xchange in Mississippi now. One in Brandon, Ms also Jackson Ms and Vicksburg, Ms
  • For Video Games Etc. in Iowa, there's one in Dubuque, and another in Iowa City. I've visited both, and got some good things from them. (Including PSO 1/2+ for $45)
  • I'm sad to say that Gamebusters in Granite City, IL and JVS Gaming in Alton, IL are no longer open. It's disappointing as both were great stores with great owners.
  • For NoVA, as far as I'm aware, eStarland in Chantilly VA is the only game in town.
  • All updated! Thanks to everyone for the additions and corrections

McKay's Books had some games the last time I was there.

Interdasting. Thanks for the tip! If nothing else, I can snag a book for the flight to Plano!

  • Found a gem when I was back in PA and they have additional locations in West Virginia & Maryland:

    Cartridges Galore

1811 Valley View Blvd, Altoona, PA & Meadows Intersection, Duncansville, PA

Burton's Plaza, Lavale, MD & 53 East Main Street, Frostburg, MD

    40 High Street, Morgantown, WV
  • I live in Oregon and can confirm that Video Game Wizards has a store in Molalla also
  • Finders Keepers in Lake Grove, NY has been closed down unfortunately.
  • Just a quick addition: Phasers On Stun in the Dayton Mall in Miamisburg OH. Couldn't find it on Google, Apple Maps, or Yelp but it's tucked away in this mall near the Chik FilA... Some of the rarest games I've ever laid eyes on there... Surprise at Dinos Peak, Ducktales 2, Snow Bros, Chip & Dale 2, Bubble Bobble 2, etc... Little pricy for the ultra rares but decent prices on the other rares and uncommons. Thankfully snagged Kickmaster and Whomp-em there... Most the other stores in the Dayton area are complete doo doo butter but this one was a gold mine... Happy hunting!
  • ^A friend of mine owns that store. He bought entire CIB NES (w/PAL SE) and Genesis sets plus lots of loose in order to fill out the store.
  • Graywhale in taylorsville Utah (biggest location), bountiful Utah  and SLC Utah has a huge selection of retro and current games, buy or sale. Descent prices. They have been around for about 25 years can't believe they are not on the list, they also buy/sale music and movies.

    Game on
  • American treasures (in mattawan MI) shut down last fall.
  • TMH Video in Oceanside, CA.

Just found it yesterday on yelp. I was surprised to find it had a solid selection with hit and miss pricing. Conkers bad fur day loose for $100 isn't too bad, Rogue Squadron 64 CIB for $25, Gauntlet 2 NES loose for $10.
  • Any good ones in Dallas?
