Yeah, I was getting to the "American" river pretty regularly for the last couple of weeks before I finally got over the hump tonight. Those archers are brutal, and the safe lanes between their intersecting arrows are very narrow.
Got to the final set of house stages in Bee 52 tonight, and as per usual, the game glitches and gets me killed. After delivering "honey" to your hive, you're supposed to respawn outside to continue collecting. But when I get to the final couple of stages, the game has a very nasty habit of respawning me inside the hive, which makes me completely unable to move until time runs out or something runs directly into me and kills me. Is there any kind of logic or method to evading this glitch so I can finish the damn game?!
Also Kung-Fu Heroes, I find out that if you press A+Start you can continue at the beggining of the level you were on. So, since I didn't knew or read anywhere about that code I did use it to beat it but is up to you if you want to count that game as beaten, no hard feelings if not.
Just to let you know if you die in 8-4 with the continue you start at 8-1 and some people told me that probably is harder to beat it that way than farming for lives in earlier levels.
Who did you race against in Race America? According to AdamL, you don't get the best ending unless you race against AJ Turbo (the best racer in the game). We've already snubbed tablew/chairs for beating this game on a lesser difficulty, and I don't see the Absolute Trophy in your win screen.
And yeah... hmm... a cheat code to clear Kung Fu Heroes. I don't know if that should count.
Oh, and scary: It doesn't look like you updated my overall points and completions to reflect my win over Deathbots, although it was counted toward my unlicensed points and completions.
Yeah, Race America looks like it was beaten on the easy or normal setting. I had the same ending screen. I wonder if anyone has actually beaten it legit in other years? This game isn't super hard, but it just takes a LOT of time to get used to and have some luck.
Nerdynebraskan, Yes I beat Race America starting in the first opponent, I am not sure if you can get the best ending starting from the first opponent and if you don't loose any leg, or if you have to start straight from AJ Turbo. Btw if you already know this stuff to be accepted or not, you should write it in the winning conditions otherwise I wouldn't have submited.
Second beating a game starting and only diffinting one racer 9 times to me doesn't sounds like a winning condition, but who I am to say in here what is wrong and what is right. I think there is no consistency with some winning condition in certain games.
About Kung-Fu Heroes you aready calling it a cheating code but imagine this if you were a kid in the 1990's and found that code by yourself and beat the game with no one telling you such a code existed will you say you beat the game? This is an opinion, but since this rules were established from the biggining I won't make a big deal. (not using a continue code not established in the Manual).
In the other hand, maybe you should write that Beating a game in NA consist in getting best ending all the time. I could be picky and check out everyone who has claimed beating certain games in here, but I really don't wanna bitch around it, for example I said about Wild Gunman and didn't got any reply. Not even AdamL states the last ending Message you get after beating Level 20 - Game C "Gang" in the shooting. Haven said this means like whoever claimed beating "Wild Gunman" after beating Level 0 is like claiming beating Tetris after clearing Level 1 since there is no ending and the Levels go forever.
Just saying there isn't consistency on the winning conditions. So I believe getting best possible ending should be mention to avoid any kind of confusion and you should check all the people who calimed beating certain games with a wrong Ending condition.
The game doesn't have difficulty settings at all, it let's you pick which racer you wanna race, and starting with AJ Turbo and racing him and having to win 9 times not sure how hard it is, but in terms of game content will be like starting a game in the hardest difficulty setting (If any).

Kung Fu Heroes - I don't think this game should count. Even if you discover a code yourself, it's still not beating the game legit. It's like if a game has passwords, and you mess around on the password screen and find a code that takes you to the end.
Race America - Looking back at previous years, I did count getting any ending as beating the game. We don't require the best endings here on NA (unless you don't play the full game - this is tricky to decide on when it comes to games that have an extra stage after the normal ending, like Gimmick). It looks like the better endings are just a different screen at the end, so I think TMR is right here. Now having said that, apparently I missed tablew/chairs beating Race America earlier in the year, so I'm going to have to give him credit for it.
If a game doesn't have an actual ending, then of course we say "get to the loop point." But if the stages are the exact same thing every time, with the same layout and just slightly faster or harder, then it's hard to say where that loop point is. I don't think it's necessary to get to level 99 like AdamL suggests for everything. So if the only thing that changes is difficulty, then beating a single stage in games like Defender 2 or Duck Hunt should be enough (plus beating the high score). That's the logic behind some of these win conditions.

I understand what you are saying but Wild Gunman gives you this message "Master" once you clear wave 20. So this is not like game was looping, it is like an ending screen like beating tetris in 9-4. Also TASers comfirmed that is the last message you get in the code of the game.
Also games like Pac-Man Have cutscenes which honestly it feels like part of the game so beating only level 1 to me personaly is not a beating condition. Last Cut scene comes after beating level 17.

Next year, no emulators!
Then you're doing it without me. And I own carts of all the games I beat, too
It looks like it will take me a few days to get used to how the game plays and beat it.
I am working on Death Race.

It's an awesome game, easy game to beat once you get use to the controls.
EDIT: Beat Magic Carpet as well. That makes it 4/6 for Caltron.
Took me the whole day, but I have beaten Galactic Crusader.
Whoa, congratulations! One of the "unbeaten six" goes down -- that's big news. Any tips?

Tequila. Lots and lots of tequila. Because it will test your patience.
Then keep punching till it breaks.

I finally managed to beat it on the NES after practicing in RARE Replay on XBox One.
