Should variants be in the database list though? I thought that was for releases and main special editions kind of thing. There are too many variants to count for this system. Just going to muddy it up

Yes I have the NORDIC Games version. It's the new common now.
Also, the list needs to be updated as both "JEOPARDY" and most likely "WHEEL OF FORTUNE" also are now NORDIC variants.
Also Skylanders Giants had a Dark Edition as well from Page 1's list.
Also Super Mario 3D World would be missing the first release "blue" box.
Also Splinter Cell Blacklist had a GameStop logo variant as well.
I'll need citations and proof for all of these. I don't believe Giants had a Dark Edition. The listing for just Super Mario 3D World is the blue case original release.
The rest of the stuff, NORDIC variants you can see on their item page on Amazon or just walking into a GameStop. Those exist. Splinter Cell GameStop is attached. Also, I do not remember ever seeing 2 versions of Skylanders Trap Team Dark Editions, one with Stealth Elf and the other without.
I'm trying to find a picture of Giants Dark Edition as I no longer own it. There is a 99.9% possibility that it was the game after it where they started doing Dark Editions my memory is foggy on it. I do remember however, when still working at GameStop that trying to get the Wii U copy of it was insanely hard as they barely made any numbers of it, plus that it was only available as the first Dark Edition at GameStop before other iterations after went to all stores.
Yep, I was mistaken. Giants was itself and not a Dark Edition. Swap Force was the first, and GameStop exclusive. So odd, I see Swap Force Dark Editions every where online, so common. Years ago people wonder if it even existed. Oh well.

Hello everyone, This is my first post on NintendoAge and I wanted to thank you all for the great information on all the wii u variants. Currently, I am going for a complete sealed wii u NTSC set and NTSC-J exclusive set. So far I have every game and about half of the variants for NTSC. I am only about 20 games into the Japanese set. I do not have the Mario Kart and Hyrule Warriors Special editions yet. Hoping to find them at a reasonable price. The one thing I wanted to bring to your attention is certain games i.e.. Hyrule Warriors and Lego Batman 3 have made in USA and Made in Japan variants. Hyrule Warriors even has a slightly different barcode. Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to having a presence on NintendoAge.
Is it possible to be more excited for all the 3rd party stuff getting physical releases for wii u than anything nintendo is releasing this year? Hell im more excited for yooka leylee and shantae than the new zelda.

I dunno, I am more excited for Zelda than I have been for a game in a long time for some reason. Having said that, both of those games look great as well. I have been playing Shovel Knight again the last few days and forgot how amazing that game is. Pretty much everything about it is great.
Im getting pretty bummed out for the first time in a long time that a console is dying. Gettign in as much splatoon as i can, i wonder what online will be like next year. Really a bummer man so much great content that never took off with the masses.

This probably isn't news, but I noticed that my Wal-Mart is starting to clear out their Infinity/Skylanders starter sets for pretty cheap.
Not just Wal-Mart, I think Target too, possibly other places. I've noticed a lot of sales in regards to Infinity and Skylanders. If one wants to get into collecting those, now is probably a good time.
Gamestop already cleared them out. Might have luck getting them online. They are the place to get skylanders sets. 10-12 each mostly. Been tgat way for over a year. Tgese other places arent clearancing them tgat low.
I want the one with DK on a cart, Superchargers, is it?
It was 50 bucks tho.
Those should go on sale again soon. I was able to get one for $30 CAD a fe weeks ago and then they went back up. I'm sure they'll go on clearance again before too long, especially since there is another pack coming out in the fall. should be able to get one for $20 USD if you keep an eye out.

Is this list only about the North America USA releases or is it going to include say CANADA's Splinter Cell "Special Edition"?
