How did the preorders go in USA? In Finland lot of companies opened up the preorders but there was no "maximum quanitities" info, some shops tooks a lot of preorders I believe, just thinking if they really get that many...

And just like that, Sega/Argames is coming out with another clone console this holiday season, this time with 80 Genesis games instead of 40. Otherwise the same exact console they've had past years, so no saves, no HDMI, only one sound chip, etc. But at least it takes Genesis carts and can use OEM controllers. There is supposed to be a handheld version too. I'm sure it will draw in a few sales.
You'll change your tune real quick when you hear the ear-grating audio on those POS. I'll take a Retro Trio any day over that schite.
I saw a video on Youtube and was appalued at the horrendous sound quality of the Atgames SEGA console, that alone is enough reason for me not to buy it.

I've seen several mini nes creations using a raspberry pi,but this one takes the cake!
Whenever I've imagined homebrewing a modern day cartridge system, my mind has always gone to an SD card housed inside a shell. Having an NFC tag pull the game file off an internal memory card is a very clever solution!
