needing new stuff to play & looking to collect repro's of my favorite franchises. intrested in nes, snes and genesis.
anyone here makes good quality stuff at decent prices? ive seen a few different ones out there, can you recommend any im looking for?

It comes up in every thread like this, and I'm sure we're only minutes away from Pegboy chiming in, so I think it's worth asking yourself the question:
Why do you want to do this with a limited number of individual (bootleg) cartridges, rather than simply getting a PowerPak or Everdrive for the system of interest and having access to ALL of the ROM hacks?
The back-of-the-envelope math is that, generally, once you're getting more than 3 or 4 repros for a system, you're better off with a flash cart.
Obviously that doesn't scratch the itch for quite the same type of cartridge experience, but I think it's all an expensive enough proposition to really consider how much of a premium that experience is worth to you, versus simply having the means to play the games on the real hardware (i.e. with a flashcart).
And any time anyone asks, I always say Energy Breaker. It's an incredible game with an excellent story, intriguing characters, wonderful music, engaging gameplay, and good graphics. You've got to check it out.
Rockman Exile is one if you want a ridiculous challenge.
I also enjoy Labyrinth for NES.
As for hacks, SMW: Dinosaur Island and SMW: Brutal Mario are two of my favorites.

If you really must collect repros, unfortunately, unless you are rich, the only cost effective solution is to make your own. If you don't own any of the tools required, or have the technical skill, starting up can be very challenging and rough, not to mention time consuming. What might also be a problem is it can be hard to find the artwork for the labels, or at least good ones. You will often have to make your own labels, especially for obscure or new hacks. The one upside to this approach is you can sell extras to help the repros pay for themselves.
Of course, this isn't very helpful if you are looking for RetroUSB or Timewalk repros, you can't exactly make those yourself. The art assets alone are near impossible to get exact, unless you knew someone who had access to the files.

If you collected used tissues, I would just be happy you're doing what you enjoy. Would not "lol". But as said before, I'm a pretty positive person.
Some repros/hacks cannot be emmulated on original hardware so a physical copy is required.

Wonder Project J [SNES] - Clevel puzzle based point and click game. You teach how to appropriately (and inapropriately) interact with objects in order to succssfully overcome obstacles.
Just Breed [NES] - Tactcial RPG that plays a little like Shining Force meets Dragon Quest. Excellent music and very well written.
Chronicles of Radia War [NES] - Action RPG that plays a bit like an 8bit Star Ocean.

Exactly. YOU don't consider it to be wasted time. Just like people don't find it wasteful to buy repros over flash carts. Seriously, just stfu with it. Anyway, OP, I like Castlevania Overflow Darkness. I think it's a bit different than the standard "Let's take the original and crank the difficulty to 11" hacks. Though I do admit to liking the "Hell" version as a masochist.

My opinion is perfectly validl, If he doesn't like it, he can ignore it and move on. Only on Nintendoage are you looked at as the bad guy for not supporting the sale of bootlegs and other counterfeit crap.
