Nice man! Let me know once it comes in I will shoot over my Friend Code.
Sounds good man, I look forward to it!
I won't lie; I've got that giddy "new games are coming!" feeling that I haven't felt in YEARS Pokemon tends to have that magic with me. Having Zelda OoT on the go is going to make my downtime during the week amazing.

Random question, request. But does anyone have an extra Manaphy, from the free Mythical Pokemon of the month from June? I missed him while I was moving into my new home and getting settled in.

I like pokemon red because I had it as a kid and the original base set, fossil set, jungle set cards. beyond that, the Gameboy / ds games are ok. I don't play pokemon go, I don't collect pokemon. a part of me wishes pokemon would die off so they stop making stuff like ice cream pokemon and trash bag pokemon.

You should give the new games a shot before you make such a stupid comment. They're better games now than they were 20 years ago.

I loved B/R/Y/G/S/C, but couldn't stand everything between them up until Gen 6. There are a ton of "wtf" Pokemon, but the gameplay and leveling system has been tweeked to the point where it's once again rewarding and fulfilling leveling/catching Pokemon. I haven't felt as excited about Pokemon since Red/Blue when it comes to X.
About 11 hours into X with a nice team of Lv30+, and about 45 different Pokemon caught.

Every gen has some stupid pokemon. Look at gen 1. Mr Mime has to be one of the most useless piles of shit. Voltorb and Electrode are the laziest designs ever. Eggsecute is a pile of friggin eggs. You gotta ignore the crap and look at the good designs. Even gen 7 already has some retarded ones. A lei pokemon and one that tries to imitate Pikachu. Doesnt mean the gameplay and experience isnt good.

Hey now. I like using Mr. Mime. Definitely not useless. There are plenty of lazy gen 1 pokemon (as there are in every gen). Voltorb and Electrode, as you mentioned, Seel, Grimer, Muk, Ekans, Arbok...

Fair enough, psychic is so overpowered in gen 1 that he isn't bad, but pretty much every gen since he's garbage. I'm really more bothered by his design since I think it's so creepy, catching monsters and all is cool, but it would feel weird catching a gimpy looking humanoid in a ball.

If you didn't have a friend to trade with, he's better than Kadabra. And I've used him in a Fire Red playthrough. Access to Magical Leaf was pretty awesome.

You know, I was just thinking this the other day. I found all of my original Nintendo Power Player's Guides for G/S/C, and the Pokedex at the back made me lol a little inside. Some of the first 151 are hilariously bad, low-hanging fruit ideas. There's a Pokemon in X/Y that's literally a keychain ring. I must admit, the sword Pokemon are pretty badass and very useful in the higher levels.
The gameplay is what matters most to me, or I wouldn't have invested hours and hours and hours of my finite existence into playing the (now) dated classics on the GB/GBC.

Yeah Klefki, the keyring, is pretty laughably bad. Honedge is a badass, especially when you get him to his final evo, he just destroys end game. Vanilite is one of the worst designs, it's a freakin ice cream cone.

I have restarted Pokémon Blue on my 3DS, but with added challenges. I am going for a bug only non-evolution team playthrough. I have a Pinsir, Caterpie, Paras, Venonat and a Weedle for a team (the only combination available). my Paras is lvl 60ish and my Pinsir is coming close to 50~. it is really good fun except for the veridian forest grind for 7-8 hours and trying to kill brock with a lvl 2X caterpie and 15ish Weedle XD

It is certainly a remake done perfectly right.
Random question, request. But does anyone have an extra Manaphy, from the free Mythical Pokemon of the month from June? I missed him while I was moving into my new home and getting settled in.

This is by far the most excited, involved, and invigorated I've felt with a game in YEARS. This makes me so happy
